Good Things Come In Small Taverns!.
In search of a venue close to home and with the desire for wanting to play it safe on New Year's Eve, we gave the Meetinghouse Tavern a shot. We caught a Septa bus there (2 minute ride) and were welcomed with a very friendly and mature atmosphere. There was no cover charge and to top off they served a free New Year's buffet of juicy roast beef, potato salad, rolls, & cole slaw. The drink prices were not bad and the music was on the money.
The owners mingled with the crowd, introduced themselves, and celebrated with us! They provided an awesome count down and party favors as we neared '2009"!
To top off, while waiting on a busy cab phone line for a way home, the bartender was nice enough to lend a helping hand in offering a ride. She was very friendly and gave top service. (Thanks "L").
I would highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for a home town good time away from the college crowd and good people.
Happy New Year!
