Terrible. I've never been so motivated to write a review..
I don't know who's writing these reviews but they had a completely different experience than I did. I opened this account just to write this review.
I got take-out today (a Sunday evening) after seeing that this place was getting excellent reviews on multiple sites. I've never written a review before about anything, but this was so bad I had to do it to offer some balance on here.
I ordered chicken pad thai which had received great reviews on this and other sites. It was terrible. Multiple times I wanted to stop eating and throw it out, but I'm visiting from out of town and had no other food around.
It tasted like the noodles were way overcooked, and the chicken was dry. The worst part was the flavor. Seriously, it was nothing like thai food I've eaten before. I've had thai food many places (including Thailand) and this was the worst. It tasted neither like authentic thai (again, I spent 4 weeks in thailand) nor "fake" thai food. I think the best comparison is to store-bought microwavable thai food. It was that bad. Usually I would give a place a 2nd chance, but this was so bad that I'm glad I'm only in town for the week and will not be back.
It did not even taste like thai food! I can't believe all the good reviews I read about this place. Oh well. If you're ever in the Detroit, MI area go to Bangkok 96 on Telegraph Rd. That is what Thai food should taste like.
Consistent Winner.
Siamese Princess has to be one of the best values in the greater Philadelphia area. The food and presentation are always tops - - the prices low.
Owners constantly upgrading atmosphere and menu.
Great Pad-Thai, Service is Iffy. The pad-thai here will knock your socks off. It is worth a trip to this restaurant just to try it. The presentation of the food is quite lovely, but the decor of the restaurant leaves a bit to be desired. Service was rather absent and may have been doubling as a chef in the back. Pretty inexpensive. If you have plenty of time, not as much money, and aren't looking for a fancy place, this is a great bet. Slow service, but tasty food.
