I am quite the Italian food gourmet and everything from Lasagna to Parmesian was 5 star. Soups are hearty and served hot. On several occasions we have taken clients to dinner and a show; Musical hostess Derorah Knight is a great singer, making everyone feel welcome, Full Circle is teh real deal, beauty and great voices. Beach Night was a fun night filled with many talented voices and fun people. The 2 of Us was dynomite, non stop music and laughter. Great food, drinks, and entertainment in a great atmosphere and we don't need to fight city traffic and parking (or the high city prices). Hunter and Gina Fine
Good scallops. The scallops were large, tender and the portions generous. But the sauce overpowered the poor things. The Veal Pippo had good portions but was tough as were the sun dried tomatoes and the onions. (Which is tough to do.) The single artichoke heart was good. The small children two tables away from us were highly vocal in their frustration which didn't add to the ambience. The deserts looked very good but we passed in favor of a quick departure. For a wednesday evening it was busy so they may have a repeat clientele. We thought about giving them a second chance but probably not as there are so many other restaurants to try.
what a rip-off. The food here was mediocre. The Fruitti di mare was overcooked. The Penne Arrabiate was not al dente. There must have been an event somewhere else in the building, because a booming bass drowned out our conversation and the canned dinner music piped in the dining area. Best of all, our waiter couldn't wait to whisk our soft drink glasses off to table to refill them. Good service? No way. They charged $1.50 for each refill (refills we hadnt even asked for). I think they were upset that we did not purchase the wine they tried to push on us at the beginning of the meal. But, I decided that any establishment can have an off night. So, I took the time to write management a detailed letter about my experience. To date I have received no response Do yourself a favor and save your money for someone who cares.
