does not meet expectations. i went here based on an excellent review from my sister....

the atmosphere met expectations- old house with historic charm. in fact the only shining quality.

the food- a let down- where was the homemade pasta i was expecting. overall ok but not worth the price. i unfortunately admit olive garden could have done better.

service- the hostess was wonderful the server... awful... i've never said this about anyone before. it speaks volumes when the table next to us was upset with our service for us. they sat down after us but were almost done their dinner before we got our salads and wine. need i say more... our waitress had attitude and despite my other half''s natural positive attitude above all else, even he was getting red in the face with frustration. we continued to give her benefit of the doubt until we began to feel like fools and did the rest of her customers. bottom line... pretty good atmosphere, fair food and subpar service (here's hoping she was just having a bad day).

What a gem!. It's a shame that you could easily pass right by this place and never know what a gem awaits inside! The atmosphere is warm and intimate and very charming (perfect for the start of a romantic evening!), although the tables are pretty close together, making it tough to walk through the room at times. The waitstaff is really attentive and personable. And the food! Not only is it very, very reasonably priced, but it was practically spilling off the plate, leaving me enough for a hearty lunch the next day, and delicious beyond compare. I was talking about how wonderful everything was for days afterward and absolutely can't wait to go back! One drawback, though: If you don't like a lot of sauce/gravy with your pasta, be sure to specify that they need to go light on it. My gnocchi was swimming in it and I'm not a big fan of that. Oh, and be sure to make a reservation in advance, or I hear the hostess will give you a hard time!

ITALY FOUND in the Suburbs...... Wonderful quaint old Inn (use to be a pony express stop) ..candle lit dining room in the back, checkered table clothes and intimate rooms upstaires for groups of 10 or more..all food is homemade and Mama's "gravy" is to die for. She may come around and ask you if "you Like?"...Locals scatter the old bar in the front, get the Calamari out there with your wine before dinner...It will be a fun, relaxing evening..Trust me!
