Great Experience.
Their website is very innovative and interactive and a great help... looked over it before stopping in and it answered many of my technical questions and the saleman explained the rest when I got there. It was nice to get a preview of what I can expect before I get there. Also nice to see photos of home theatres they have done in the Philadelphia area.
The store was comfortable and very well designed. I loved the simulated outdoor section and the recreated kitchen. And the home theatre demo was VERY cool. Not at all pretentious, but great quality products at the same prices as competitors. And the people were friendly and real. Totally receommended.
BEST PLACE to buy and BEST PEOPLE to buy from for quality Audio/Video..
Can't believe I'm the first to review a place that's been around since the 70's! I'm a big fan of World Wide Stereo. 1. It's not a place with wall-to-wall distractions of 100's of tv's to choose from like the chains. They do all that for you, editing quantity down to yield superior quality items. 2. it's not a place where you'll have bubble-gum chewing idiots that you have to beg to help you and spell out everything for them... also like the chain stores. The employees know their stuff, and as far as I've experienced, they are not "car salesman", but they are warm and honest and really seem to want to help you make a good choice for your particular need. 3. The other reason I will continue to go back to WWS is their follow-up... my salesman called me to make sure I'm happy with my products AND wrote me a thank you note. I have always felt comfortable about the whole experience. Not to mention most of the guys there have been there since I started shopping there in the early 80's, so it's great to know who you are buying from and see familiar faces. 4. Last but not least, reading through their website, I appreicate a small business that contributes to its community. WWS donated the electronics for a locally shot episode of ABC's Exteme Home Makeover, all electronics to the new Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, and I'm always seeing their name pop up at local charity events (which I frequent). So I'm happy to give WWS my money and partronage over some faceless chain store anyway. Overall, a solid establishment... in my humble opinion.
Favorite salespeople? Mario is great. Ben is highly recommended from a friend. Dan is hilarious. Craig at the Ardmore store is a truly genuine guy. Jim came to my house and did a wonderful install job. Thanks!
A great selection of audio/video products worth the trip up 309 for its totally attentive service..
In Short
Walk into Bob and Ron's looking for a TV and you might just walk out with a 50-inch flat-screen plasma set. It's not that there's anything seductive about the showroom; the nondescript box of a store one block from the Montgomeryville Mall is cramped and ordinary. But the store more than makes up for it by riding the wave of every new trend?whether it's car TV or cutting-edge Super Audio CD.
