What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
Crepe expectations are fulfilled at this Gallic cafe, whose name translates to "The Dawn," along an industrial stretch of Washington Avenue West. Tucked into the lobby of NextFab Studios, a creative design "incubator" that rents out space and tools to artists and craftspeople, L'Aube does crepes both sweet and savory, with brilliant coffee and espresso to complement. It's typically a one-man operation, so you might wait a little bit for your order, but your patience will be rewarded with killer buckwheat fold-ups off the griddle.

Coffee freak? You're not going to find
java much fresher than L'Aube's — they blacken beans right on the premises with a high-end Probat roaster that chills in the rear of the space.
