What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
Philly's on point where coffee shops are concerned, but we're just starting to see progress in the realm of local roasting. Brothers Chris and Tom Molieri's modest Point Breeze space, tucked into Alter Street, just south of busy Washington Avenue, is ground zero for the fledgling but fast-growing brand, which supplies dozens of cafes and restaurants in town. There are rumors of the Molieris expanding into a full-fledged cafe in the very near future, but that shouldn't stop you from swinging by, learning up on the roasting process and buying some bags of beans to take home.

Though it's not technically a cafe,
swing by during the day for espresso shots and informal sales. The crew will be happy to sell you the freshest beans possible for $12 a pound.
