NO ICE CREAM FOR YOU!.
One time at the Mayfair Diner I had a meal with two friends. It was a quick meal, and when my girlfriend asked for ice cream for desert, we were told that we would have to order it to go and could not eat in the diner. This had me really scratching my head. It was pretty awkward the way the waitress enouraged us to not even order it. I feel like she may have confused us with teenagers that has nothing better to do than to sit at a diner all night and waste space. We were actually all in our late 20's and good tippers at that! Maybe you should look into your ice cream policy or even stop serving it. Food + Service = Below Average
The food at Mayfair Diner is HORRIBLE!!!! Their fries are absolutely the worst fries I have ever tried. Not to mention their waiting staff. They cater to their "regulars" and leave others waiting 20 minutes just for a glass of water. Ridiculous. Drive the extra 5 minutes and go to The Dining Car.
NO FRIES WITH CLUB SANDWICHES ANYMORE BUT STILL COST 9 $.
Went there just recently after clubbing , and ordered a club sandwich , and didn t get fries with it , but in the past did come with fries , and still cost 9 $ will not go back was told new owners......
A classic diner with a well-earned reputation.. In Short Established in 1932, the Mayfair is a classic train-car diner with all the stainless steel you can handle. The interior has been meticulously preserved, with vinyl booths and metallic lighting fixtures kept immaculately clean. Waitresses, too, are from another era, wearing crisp pink uniforms and offering sardonic and expert service. Burgers, eggs and Salisbury steak sit alongside staples like chicken salad and hash as well as a German influence by way of bratwurst and sauerkraut.
