The popularity of East Passyunk's pizza-and-pint-happy Birra has creeped over into Old City via Barra, which has unified the old Rocchino's and Azione spaces into Death Star-sized craft beer Valhalla. While pies are the focus at its older South Philly sibling, Barra does even more, including seafood like crazy (whole roasted branzino, speck-wrapped shrimp, mussels two ways). Late-night's a big deal here, with pizzas and various small plates served till 1 a.m. (backed by a DJ on weekend nights.)
