Wonderful place!. Never having left Max, my 11 month old Weimaraner alone, I chose Philadelphia Pet Hotel based on the positive reviews. My family went away for the week of 1/8 until 1/16 and wanted a place we could totally trust. We first had Max stay overnight the week prior to going away as a "trial." He loved his one night stay SO much that there wasn't any hesitation on my part having them care for him for a week. Jarred earned my trust immediately when I asked him all about his facility. It was also easy to tell that his staff loved their work, too.

On the day I dropped Max off for his week of "vacation," he literally pulled off my arm to get in the front door! If his first experience there was bad, he certainly wouldn't have done that!

While my family and I were having fun in the sun on the Mexican Riviera, we didn't once worry about Max. We got an email from the staff with some photos of Max playing in the snow!

When it was time to pick him up upon our return on the 16th, Max seemed a little sad to leave. He left behind a bunch of new buds and a caring staff.

When next year's vacation rolls around, there will be no hesitation where Max will spend the time. I highly recommend this facility. And, if you're flying out of PHL, there's a partnership between the Pet Hotel and Winner Valet Parking. Parking is about 1/2 price if you keep your dog at Phil. Pet Hotel!

This Place is Awesome!!!. I was very impressed with this facility. My dog stayed here for a week while we were on vacation. When we first left him, I was nervous because I wasnt sure how well he would adjust. I called there each day to check on him and I was told he was doing well. He had play time each day and loved it! This Place is immaculate, The staff is very caring and friendly and Jarred is a Doll! Dr Larry who owns The Philadelphia Animal Hospital also owns this facility and makes several visits daily, which really put my mind at ease. This is a GREAT place for your baby to stay! We Love It!!!!!

don't let Stephanie groom your dog. The worst haircut my dog ever had.....he looks like a cancer patient. She menioned on the phone that he moved when she did his face, but his legs are cut very short and his body long. His hair has no shine. His face is a mess. I have had my dog for three years and he has been going to groomers, no one ever messed him up like this, so its not the dog. Very very disappointed. I would never refer anyone here

Hi, my name is Jared and I am the Director of Operations for the facility. I spoke to my groomer about this matter and she said that your dog was coded as a full service groom. She trimmed face, paws, and bum region only -- she did not touch legs or body because that is only included in a full-body haircut, and you had explained to her that he had been shaved down from the last groomer and he had never grown back. When Stephanie spoke to you she apologized for not being able to get the face perfect and she offered to re-work any areas if you were unhappy. If you would like to discuss this matter further, you can call me directly at Philadelphia Pet Hotel & Villas. It is our goal to make 100% of clients happy!! Happy Holidays!!

Home away from hom. This was my first experience boarding my dogs -- I have three JRT's -- and I was quite anxious about leaving them w/ strangers. I think that they sensed my fear b/c they were all really keyed up when I dropped them off, but we arranged to have them stay in the same villa and that at least made me feel better. The updates I received while on my week-long trip help to ease my concerns and when I picked them up, it was like they had spent the week w/ a loving, grandmother who had spent the whole time spoiling them.

Though I don't travel often, I would absolutely board my dogs here again. The cost was reasonable, the staff was wonderful and most importantly, my Jacks had a wonderful time. Thanks Jared!!!

Finally a great "pet hotel" in Philly!!. Finally a great "pet hotel" in Center City!!

My wife and I have been trying to find a place where we knew our dogs would be safe and cared for as if they were at home. We tried a few places, but no place seemed to meet our standards. The end result: Our dogs either joined us on trips or stayed with relatives. And if if not with us, we always had a "concern" in the back of our mind when we were away.

Not the case any more with the totally re-done Philly Pet Hotel. We have finally found a place where our dogs will be cared for as well as when they are at home.

We did check this place out a few years ago and it is TOTALLY different from what we saw then. The staff is very caring and very attentive. They sent us a few emails and pics of our pups while we were away and, as jaded as I am, I do think the staff was a little sad to see their little guests leave. More importantly, I think our dogs were a little sad to leave as well.

We had our two dogs share one of the big "villa" rooms with the large bed, pillows, and a window and they seemed very comfortable for the entire stay. (just over two weeks) The 24 hour "on-site" staff, as well as the vet check in during the day (the hotel is owned by a vet) really helped put us at ease.

Very safe, clean, and secure. We will be using this "pet hotel" again!

Truly The Best !. When I say our dog is spoiled that is an understatement.

Just to give you an idea of how we love to pamper our greyhound baby please consider the following:

-his first birthday with us was spent at the Ritz Carlton in NYC and he had a full bithday party

-he and my husband were featured on Money Magazine's TV segment on dog owners who go over the top

Needless to say - there is nothing we would not do to make our grey baby's retirement the best life ever. We love him as our child and we are very very careful where we board him.

I really have to say that this place is truly like a doggie vacation spot. It is not just kitchy advertising - it really is a doggie hotel.

The staff is extremely loving and attentive and they take any and all special instructions and needs without blinking an eye. The facility is extremely clean and pretty.

Our guy has tried all three of the rooms and they are all equally nice. The villa is a huge room (his had a window) with a huge bed for lounging. The luxury suites are in a large sunlit room with individual stalls and tv's. The regular rooms are very large individual bins, also with natural sunlight.

There is a large back yard for play and walks. The doggies are walked at least 3 times per day. They are finishing an indoor facility for winter play. Also, when you order play time the dogs are not rushed in and out. We called one morning to see if our baby had been groomed so we could pick him up. We were told, "Oh yes, he is actually out back sunbathing right now. He was out playing and then decided to rest for a while" I knew that was the truth because that is exactly what he likes to do at home. A half hour later we went to get him and he was just coming in from the play area looking relaxed and very happy.

ALSO the facility is staffed 24 hours a day. That has been a huge relief for us. I have never been comfortable with the doggies being left alone all evening. I was once at another facility and a dog took ill during the night and no one discovered it until the morning. Since then I have refused to board our guy. It has been great to find a 24 hour place.

Our guy has huge separation anxiety and the staff has really taken special time with him. After the last stay, although he was happy to see us, he looked like he was ready to stay for a bit. In fact he tried to make my husband take him back to the yard again for a walk. The sure sign that he is fine is when he eats all of his food. It took him 3 stays to really get used to the Pet Hotel but I am pleased to say that during his last visit he ate every morsel.

My dog and I both love this place!. When I tell my dog it's time to go the kennel he runs to door with excitement! The Pet Hotel is great, convenient, clean, and reasonable. The staff is extremely friendly and I trust them completely when taking care of my dog. I would recommend The Pet Hotel to anyone looking for a boarder.

AMAZING service, CLEAn facility. INCREDIBLE experience!. I wanted to write a review to compliment the wonderful service we received from the staff at the Pet Hotel.

We have an elderly lemon beagle, who is incredibly sweet. She had been abused as a puppy in a puppy mill when we adopted her, so she is very timid and shy.

We have had her for 12 years, and care for her as if she was our own child. Therefore, we are super concerned about where we leave her when we have to travel out of town.

When we visited the Pet Resort for a “preview visit”, the staff was incredibly kind and professional. We decided to give them a try a few weekends ago.

At check in, I explained Lucy’s situation to Jared. He was BEYOND helpful, kind and caring to her. I knew immediately that Lucy would be in good hands, and we were right. Jared recognized that Lucy was a special dog, in that she was so shy & timid. He took Lucy up to the front of the hotel, allowing her to sleep in her bed by his side all day. He really went above & beyond to make us, and Lucy, feel comfortable. What a great guy!

Additionally, the facility is clean, and Lucy came home better than when she left! The entire team takes such pride in your pet hotel, and it shows!!

Too often, people complain about service; today, I wanted to take a moment to simply say thanks for great service. We really appreciate it. You are worth every penny!

Peace Of Mind. This is the one and only place I will leave my two Mini-Pins, Brandy and Candi. Before Dr Larry opened the Villas we did not have anywhere that we trusted for boarding. Brandy has medical issues so we needed a place that could care for her needs. While we were gone Larry came and gave Brandy her insulin shots til the staff was able to do it. The facillity gets an A+ , The staff gets an A+ and Larry, for whom I have known for over 25 Years,( I think I asked you at least 100 times to open a kennel for boarding ) has opened a facillity you will want to use over and over again. After I called everyday to check on them I was able to relax knowing they were in good hands. I will be a frequent customer.

After you see the place I think you will too.

Best Boarding Experience Yet. My husband and I routinely board our two Yorkies as we travel frequently. We had been boarding at a kennel in New Jersey for years but our dogs consistently lost weight while they were there. We became concerned as they only with about 8 lbs. My neighbor raved about this facility so we took a tour. VERY IMPRESSIVE staff and facility. So we booked and our dogs stayed 10 days. I have to say they actually came out looking better than when they went in. They were happy, no weight loss, and were more interested in playing with the employees than seeing us after 10 days. Overall we are very satisfied and will return. PS Great groomer on premises also
