Citysearch Editorial Review. The old popular Shinju Sushi has moved, expanded, upped its prices, gotten a liquor license and gone all 22nd century on us. Now, what used to be a cute BYO is an ultra-mod Japanese pad, all glowing and white. With a spotless color scheme and design that could only work in a cosmopolitan environment, the long space places seats along the open sushi bar that’s scrubbed free of color yet strikingly accented with red roses. This fish counter is balanced out by a textured white wall that glows a quiet neon blue on the opposite side of the narrow front dining room. In the back, a few more two-tops make for a slightly, but not much, quieter dining area than the non-soundproofed main space that’s all abuzz with people happily chattering about whatever it is they talk about in the coming century.
