My photo shoot experience was fantastic! I felt beautiful, empowered, elegant! I hardly recognized myself after my hair and make up were done! Posing came naturally, although some poses looked better in my mind than in reality. It was a life changing three hours of expressing my inner pin up girl. Getting my photos was an entirely different experience!

I do not live locally to the studio so I opted for the photos to be emailed to me. Alanna said it would take 2-3 weeks. After that time passed, I contacted her and she said she was really busy, my photos would be done soon. After more that FIVE weeks they arrived....the wrong ones! When I told Alanna this she insisted that they were the ones I picked. I did not know it was my responsibility as the customer to review the image numbers to be sure that I had written down the correct ones. She wanted for me to travel 80 miles to the studio to review them. As I refused and described the images that I remember choosing she took her time in sending them. This second time, they were still not the ones that I ordered. She fussed and argued that indeed they were and argued over the number of images that I had purchased. In all, it took THREE MONTHS to receive the pictures that I paid for. Not once did she apologize for getting my order incorrect but rather blamed me for the mistakes. Not once did she explain the delay in sending my pictures except to say that she had a lot of shoots. Yes, my pictures are stunning but I have not printed them so I don't know just how high quality and resolution they really are...I'm feeling skeptical. Alanna apparently forgot the cardinal rule in customer service that the customer is always right.

Poor all around service. I made this appointment thinking my experience would be great from the owners facebook page. The page gives me the impression that its a funky new place with great new styles. One first impression the place was very cool however I was quickly ushered to a chair and asked why I was there. I explained that I liked a photo on the website and the stylist walked away and never gave me any idea of what the process would include and NEVER discussed cost. As I'm having my colored done I was trying to make small talk and it was very clear the stylist wanted no parts of it. She talked to the other stylist about what alcohol they were going to get after "she was done with this place" Which gave me plenty of time to observe how dirty the place really was, not only the hair on the floor but the piles of dust around the lights and filty floors. At the end of my visit my color was ok but my cut and style was very unfinished and was very sticky from all the unneccessary product she used. I was told I was done and when I was about to leave I noticed color was all over my skin and was told to wash it at home. All of the time the owner was sitting on facebook at the desk without once looking up at me to welcome a new customer, which in my world is totally unexceptable. I was then told my bill was over $200 and informed to use their ATM machine and pay additional fees to get my own money out. I wanted to complain but with all the people just hanging out waiting for the salon to close and go out for drinks it became uncomfortable and I just left. I will make sure to tell my friends to avoid this place if they want personal attention!

Owner is unprofessional and discriminatory!. Salon Blush led me to believe my hair would turn out to be something that it definitely did not because they ended up botching my hair color and I had to pay and endure corrective color because of the poor service that I received! The stylist tried to lighten my dark color with color, instead of using an extractor like my corrective stylist did. I was offered no other options by Blush! They let me leave looking terrible and it was only when I got home in real lighting that I noticed how bad it was. This was after I made a deposit the month before to have my (and my bridal party) hair and makeup done there. So naturally, because I received such poor service, I emailed the owner to obtain a refund...because I did not sign a contract and nothing was agreed upon orally. Additionally, the salon does not have their policies posted for customers. The owner did offer to "fix" my hair or a gift certificate, but who in their right mind would go back to someone who messed their hair up?! I wanted a cash refund. The owner, Alanna, then proceeded to become extremely disrespectful and argumentative with me ("customer is always right?") and called me a blatant LIAR. She also said that deposits are for "people like me." (What is that supposed to mean!?) Ah, discrimination at its best. She kept trying to state that my hair was damaged when I came into the salon during our correspondence..my hair was only damaged after I stepped foot in their salon and they tried to lighten color with color! She then ended it with "have a nice wedding" pretty much, and blocked me so that I could not send her messages. Now is that customer service or what? Don't bring your business to this salon -- they are unprofessional, discriminatory, catty, rude, and clearly display that money is their #1 priority, rather than customer service and just common decency in the way that they treat others.

Disorganzed Unprofessional Crew. Thought this place was an innovative and forward thinking salon until I arrived and was kept for 32 mins waiting notice the messy scattered desk 4 inches of dust everywhere. the owner was missing in action. I called three times after my first visit for a specific request and never got a return call however I thought it was my experience Figure I give them one more try since 6 friends have had their hair done. Now after connecting with other friends heard the facts on the place and confirmed my experience. Their is no vision nor consistent staff and service was fair. Too much drama and chaos is the best way to describe this salon.

The Skincare At Blush Is Beyond Amazing!!!. I've always had problem skin, and getting the occasional facial (and a massage here and there) can be very hit or miss for me. But Alanna does quality work at affordable prices, and she makes her own organic skincare line that is AMAZING!!!! My skin is clear and smooth, I can't recomend her enough. When they were out of the moisturizer she recomended, she went to the back to make a customized one, and I'm hooked. Not to mention the fact that it really shows them going above and beyond. I wish I could get there more often! You wouldn't expect the serene spa-like room in the back from looking at the salon, but you'd be mistaken.
