What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying

Field House
Though it's been open for some time, the owners of Field House recently shut down their massive sports bar and completely overhauled it, making it much more of a food/craft beer destination than its previously bro-heavy incarnation. It now has 40 taps, the vast majority of which pour local beers, and a clever elevated bar-grub menu from well-traveled chef Andrew Brown. But don't be mistaken, as Field House is still very much gameday central, with 35 televisions and an enormous first-floor projection screen that ensures you won't miss a single second of college or pro action.

Chef Brown has a way with the classics: the roast pork sandwich with rabe and sharp provolone is a winner.

Good for watching Sports, Very Expensive. I went here to watch NCAA tournament final four games. There are TVs everywhere and it was very crowded but we were able to sit at the bar until a booth was ready. The service was fine food was average but I was very shocked at how expensive everything was.

Bi-level sports bar converts to singles bar at night.. Bi-level sports bar converts to singles bar at night. Brought to you by the owners of Public House and Mission Grill, this vast bi-level sports bar turns into a loud and crowded singles’ dance party at night, thanks to weekly bands and dj’s. Though it’s situated adjacent to Reading Terminal Market and the convention center, it attracts its share of 20-something locals as well as conventioneers looking for a quick bite and a beer. 50-plus HDTVs and open invitations to alumni orgs that need a regular spot to gather to watch college football position it as a go-to destination for viewing shows that feature the running and throwing of a stuffed pig skin, but with its two bars and second floor that’s available for private groups, beware those dreaded bachelorette parties once the games are over.

Ok food, HORRIBLE Bartenders. Food was acceptable but service, especially at night, was deplorable. There are many other options in this area that will appreciate their customers.
