DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.
My wife and I went in ready to purchase a 2010 Sonata, ready to see all the tricks of the trade one finds at a dealership. As a salesman I try to work around one simple rule: treat your customers well. These people could use a lesson!
We sat for around half an hour at Curt's desk before he came and greeted us. From the start he was very condescending to my wife whenever she expressed an opinion, and made it very clear it wasn't her place to speak about a car. He was mealymouthed and evasive, refusing to answer even the most basic questions about the vehicle we wanted to purchase. He wouldn't tell us how much the vehicle cost, or what options it had.
Every twenty minutes or so Kurt would excuse himself and retreat to the back room and leave us waiting for an average of fifteen to twenty minutes before coming back having 'gotten a better deal'. Only after An hour of playing sales games and rude behavior did he actually take us out to the lot to inspect vehicles.
While on the lot, the treatment was about the same. Kurt would not answer my questions directly, or even respond when my wife was speaking to him. Every sentence he spoke was a sales game. We couldn't find out whether or not the car in question was on the lot or on 'the other lot' an hour away. Despite the fact that we made our choice and preference clear, he was constantly trying to push us into purchasing a brand new vehicle that we couldn't afford. I finally got a direct answer about the availability of the vehicle when we threatened to leave. At that point he became very simpering and fawning, trying to keep us from leaving.
After (finally) test driving a vehicle and agreeing on it, we went back inside and spent over four hours trying to get a firm answer on the price. Using the same tactics as before, He would frequently spend intervals up to a half hour in the back room, simply trying to wear us down to agree to whatever price he cared to set. Of the total of SIX HOURS we spent in the dealership, less than two were actually spent with talking with Kurt. Most of it we spent sitting at his desk waiting for him to return.
Despite our repeatedly expressed concern for the time as my wife had an appointment to make at 6 pm, Kurt continued to hem and haw and refuse to commit to any pricing or give us the information we needed to make a decision. At ten minutes to 6 we stood up to leave because it was clear he wouldn't work with us, at which point he became extremely abusive and sullen, telling us how we wasted his time and couldn't be pleased. We politely told him that we had set the deadline when we first sat down, and he clearly wasn't in a hurry to sell us a vehicle, so we left. He was obviously very annoyed that his sleazy tactics hadn't worn us down.
Never in my life have we been treated with such blatant disrespect from a supposedly reputable company. If any reader still decides to go to Springfield Hyundai, STAY AWAY FROM KURT. He will waste your life.
If you want to work with liars, incompetent mechanics and dare to drive a vehicle assembled with a pile of after market parts, go there. Of course, you will not know the after market junks on your Hyundai until they break within the first month after your purchase.
Great place to buy a car!. I was recently shopping around for a new 2012 hyundai senata and after shopping i found myself talking to Kevin Osnor at Springfield Hyundai and my experience was great!! He not only was very knowledgeable and mannerly but they worked with me to get me a great price and great financing!! Everyone thru every step of this process was wonderful and professional! I will be recommending Springfield Hyundai to my family and friends who are in need of a new vehicle!! I definitly have made a long time relationship with this dealership!!
Avoid this dealership at ALL COST!. Customer service after the sale is a joke at this dealer ship. They refuse to fix their mistake in my vehicle's registration. Left 5 msgs and sales rep refuses to call me back. When I did FINALLY talk to this idiot, he tells me that I need to fix it with PennDOT. Why should I fix your mistakes? Bunch of bumbling morons at this dealership. BUYERS BEWARE!

I visited this dealership Saturday, February 26, 2011 approximately 4p. I went in with the intent of just test driving a Hyundai Sante Fe Limited. I walked with my Mom, Dad, and 10 year old nephew. I walked in and spent at least 10 minutes in and out of the new Hyundai Equis spelling? I then overhead my eccentric father speak to a salesman who was slumped behind the desk beside this new vehicle and poked fun of my Dad's pronunciation of the word, "Hyundai." The salesman at the desk and another hack seemed to share a few laughs at his expense.
I didn't think nothing of it at that time so I went to the desk and stated I wanted to test a 2011 Hyundai Sante Fe Limited. The slumped salesman, who poked fun at my Father stated that he would bring a salesman out. I then waited about 10 minutes until a salesman came up to me. The salesman said I would have to pick out the stock number of the vehicle I wanted out in their huge lot. Perplexed, I asked him for an explanation. Thinking I was going out on a wide goose chase on their huge lot did not excite me. I did it anyway like an idiot. He explained that these vehicles would be found on the left side when I walked out. He was incorrect. I never found 2011 Hyundai Sante Fe Limited. I spent over 15 minutes out on their lot doing THEIR JOB!
I had a poor experience at this dealership within the past 12 months as a Korean salesman left my Mom and I outside in their lot in over 90 degrees waiting on him. He was rude and pushy. Bottom line is that I do not recommend this place as they do not know how to do their jobs properly. They are hacks and need to be fired or brush up on their customer service skills. It was very busy, I understand, but if they couldn't help me at the time, they shouldn't expect I do THEIR JOB and fetch the car I want to test drive. They could have simply asked me to schedule a test drive. I hope someone pays attention to this review because I hope that my experience is a rarity but I assume it was not.
Look at my Tucson!!!!. We had a very pleasant experience with the purchase of the Tucson. Don Mack was very pleasant and helpful. We did not feel rushed and we would refer others to buy a car here.
