Pub & Kitchen is theoretically just a gastropub. Except that it isn't. The food is ambitious, intelligent, and much more demanding than it should be. The place is a stealth fine-dining restaurant. Anyone who thinks this is pub food should have their head examined.

P&K's got one of the best staffs in the city. Every server/bartender is warm, funny, friendly and most important knows his/her stuff!
vegie burgers. a simple fix to make a great place greater!!! how's about it? some love for the vegetarians?
True Love in G-HO. Found p&k 2 weeks ago and have been back every weekend. Great place to hangout with friends and have great cocktails. The gin watermelon cooler is AWESOME!!!
Over rated. While Pub and Kitchen is much cleaner and more ascetically pleasing than Chaucers, the food is over-priced and there are not many options. It is not much different than other Rittenhouse hang outs especially on Friday and Saturday. There are also a few very rude bartenders.
Not really a neighborhood hangout for me any longer....
This place has gone Center City "chic" and the prices -- and service -- reflect the attitude. Pricey bar food that's good but I don't really get the extreme hype, and only the "beautiful people" get the warm treatment.
I know it was nothing great, but for a neighborhood hangout I miss Chaucers.
Rittenhouse craft beer bar recalls a centuries' old British pub and provides a safe beer haven for the upwardly mobile.. Is it a neighborhood bar? Is it a gastropub? Or is it a Rittenhouse Square destination? Yes, yes and yes. This cozy corner tavern is perhaps the neighborhood's only everybody-knows-your name spot for the preppy inhabitantsof the district who appreciate quality beer. The menu is careful and populated with standards from the United Kingdom, many of which pair well with the mostly craft and import brew list. The front bar and rear dining room are washed in warm woods and wall hangings that appear to have been lovingly salvaged from the dumpsters of London.
