what a great date spot. My boyfriend took me here last week and it was simply wonderful! I m very tough on Italian restaurants being Italian myself but have to say it was really authentic. They have a full menu thats always there and a city menu that changes every week. We went for the Chianti week...had the wild boar lasagna...really amazing....my boyfriend ordered cacciucco seafood stew off menu....then desserts were off the charts....this place also has the best wine list in the area....so many wines by the glass...I had the riserve Chianti, my boyfriend barbera......atmosphere and service were romantic and professional respectively.

Very Authentic Italian. This restaurant is beautiful...looks like a Tuscan Villa! As a native Italian I can tell you I was very impressed. The menu changes each week based on a different city in Italy..the night I went it was the city of Bolzano. I was just in this city this past summer & the dishes were right on. I had the Canederli gnocchi which were stuffed with speck & grana padano cheese & they transported me back to Northern Italy. My date had the Branzino off the regular menu & it was outstanding. For dessert, the ricotta cheesecake was like my grandmoms...Very impressive, i highly reccomend.

Toad - scana!. My husband and I decided to try this place. It always looked so lovely lit up at night (lots and lots of lights) and after all, it's italian, right?! Well, we walked in the front door at 5 PM on a Friday and the owner didn't even make eye contact with either of us (let alone making an effort to welcome us) - Indeed my husband I both noted that we had the feeling we were interrupting something between the short, lampoonish, shifty-eyed owner and the 2 young, uncomfortable-looking hostesses we encountered upon entering.

I have to laugh now thinking back ....the LARGE wine menu was presented ON TOP of the food menu. "Here! Drink up so your taste buds are dulled to the food taste and to help with your stomach cramps later"...Too bad for us that we came to eat - not to get drunk .

And throughout my meal, this goofy- looking owner could be seen schmoozing with his suppliers - right in the middle of my view across the room.

The food? For sure, nothing to write home about....I ordered skewered shrimp from the "grill" section of the menu, which I know now that I SHOULD NOT HAVE EATEN as I was up all night with severe gas pains from the shrimp being not fully cooked! I almost woke my husband to take me to the hospital- I was in that much pain.

Felicia, our waitress, was the one bright spot in our experience. She was attentive, personable and sweet. But, even she is not enough reason to come back. The one star I have given is for her and her alone. Never, ever again... We will definitely not be coming back to help pay for the electric lighting bill.

Delicious. Went here after Parx & was amazed at how delicious the food is. They have a regular menu as well as a new menu every week which has food & wine from different regions of Italy. Really nice wine list & dessert selection also. Problem is its packed. better on weekdays without the long wait.
