Beware of Eyebrow Threading. I specifically told my brow "specialist" that I wanted to keep my brows (which took me forever to grow out) thicker and more natural looking. When she finished the first brow, I was horrified-stick thin and pretty much non existent on the ends. I still have skin irritation days later and am sure it will take a long time for my brows to grow back. Very dissatisfied. Don't go unless you want stick thin brows.

Threading? Waste of time.. First time getting threading done in Philadelphia. I got it done many times before in other cities and the results there were just fine. Dara basically did a sh*tty job on my eyebrows. I told her I thread my eyebrows myself but I wanted to get them done every now and then. After 15 minutes, and 20 dollars later, I left dissatisfied. I never went back again, and I never will - because even I can do a better thread job than her. Waste of time, and excessively overpriced than most places - $5 in the burbs, $2 in my home town, $5 in Toronto, and sh*t for $16.

Nice place to relax. Me and my girlfriend stopped by thread beauty bar last week to get a couple of lux spa pediicure and they were amazing. we recieved a foot scrub, hot stone massage and a foot mask! The young lady who serviced me was very nice and polite and worked well with her hands. Me and my friend were so pleased we plan on comming again, and we do not even live in Philly!

worst mani pedi ever.. I took my bridesmaids to Thread the day before my wedding for a thank you brunch and mani-pedis. Having had at least 100 mani pedis in my lifetime, I figured these would be good b/c the pricetag is about $5 more than at most places. Aside from the nice dishes that they provided for the food that I brought, our experience at Thread could not have been worse. The girls doing nails took FOREVER. The quality of the manis and pedis was HORRIBLE, to say the least. The owner started helping b/c she realized all of the mani-pedis were taking too long, but she admitted that she doesn't even know how to paint nails. The manicures were lumpy and sloppy, they barely shape your nails or cuticles. The pedicures were even worse, they hardly scrubbed our feet at all, and they did not have the proper tools for removing that annoying dirt that gets under everyone's toenails - how do you do a pedicure w/ only a nail file and a wooden stick? The nailpolish they use is junk, it comes off in an hour. My entire manicure was chipping and peeling off a few hours later. It was so bad that I had to rush around the morning of my wedding to look for nailpolish remover. One of my bridesmaids painted my nails while I had my hair appointment for my early morning wedding. The owner had the audacity to add an 18% tip to my bill and then suggest that I give more. Needless to say, I will never return to Thread. I highly recommend that everyone else run as far away as possible.

thread beauty bar. Stopped by Thread after a long day at the hospital, to get a pedicure, and was very pleased by the results. The nail tech was very friendly and even talked me into getting my eyebrows threaded.. and good thing she did. The rsults were amazing, the threader did an excellent job, my face looks total different. Even now after a week my polish is still on my toes!! I will definitley be back!

Sabba. I have had services at Thread many times and it has always been good. Threading there is par excellence! Dara is the best! I have gone to an Indian threader in KOP who is good but who isn't as meticulous as Dara is. Dara definitely has a better grasp on how a brow should frame the face. Go there, you won't regret it. By the way, she was just named the best brow shaper in Philadelphia. I love the vegan nail polish too!

Great mani + pedi. Loved the mani + pedi, also loved the fact that the polish was vegan and stayed on long (they say they use a rubber basecoat??!!). I also got my upper lip threaded which didn't leave me as red. Definately my new nail joint! Only con was I had to wait a couple minutes... it was worth it though!

Worst mani/pedi ever. Some friends and I went there for mani/pedis. The place is very cute, great space. But that was the only highlight. They didn't do a great job on our nails- my cuticles weren't even cut. My pedicure took forever, the nail tech wasn't very skilled at a french. The worst part was that all of our polish chipped off the VERY NEXT DAY!!! They use a Vegan polish so if you are into that I guess it's good. But we are not and had to go get our nails redone two days later. JFK nails is still the best place in town. I would definitely not go back to Thread.

Eyebrow threading is hard to find and they have it here. I went here today to get my eyebrows threaded. One of my friends that stays out of state had gotten hers threaded and they looked a lot better than getting them waxed. So I found this little hidden spot that is close to where I work. The customer service was really good and Dara did a great job on my eyebrows. Sometimes it can be hard to find people that know exactly where the arch should be on your eyebrows. But she knew exactly what to do. I was sure she would though because her eyebrows looked great also. They also offer other services. Tonight was actually martini manicure night. So everyone that goes in to get a manicure gets a free martini. I like this spot.

FYI - An appointment is not required

Step up into this loft-level spa focusing on the art of hair removal and more.. In Short
Thought this was a clothing store too? Nope. Thread's moniker refers to method of hair removal - threading - that's supposed to be healthier and more precise. Best off, services are rather affordable. Ladies have your lips waxed for just $8 or whole full face for $35. Or upgrade manis and pedis for a most appealing price point. Guys, lose hair sweaters in time for summer with chest and back waxing. Additional services include eyebrow shaping, facials and salt and sugar scrubs.
