Great Scene. Keeping everything 100, This place is pretty good. Im a recent grad (born and raised in Philly) who has been to cities like DC, Miami LA, New York etc. Im far from rich but just like to see different things. I don't know how your a guy surrounded by females and can't have a good time, oh yea thats right, most of these guys are scared to approach girls and write bad reviews of how the girls are snobby, the drinks are expensive, and the cover charge is "outrageous" boo woo woo, blah blah. If you want inexpensive drinks and cheap cover go to roxxy or something. The cover charge is a normal 20 bucks just like any lounge scene in America. Bottle drinks (never got bottle service just scene the menu) are VERY reasonable as well as the other drinks. Music is good sometimes horrible sometimes but im bobbing my head two stepping to every so it doesnt matter. But honestly the music was pretty bad the two times I went lol. That's about it, girls are beautiful too. Fellas, step ya game up at this place. pulling a girl's hand to get her attention will not work lol lames

Worst club I've ever been to.... I've been to around 60 countries and have visited more clubs and bars around the world than most people can dream of...and I've never been to a worse one than G-Lounge. I've been there a few times with different groups of friends who wanted to try it and have never had a good time. It's way too expensive and filled with total wannabes. - poor black guys who wanna be rich white guys and poor white girls who wanna be black prostitutes. Everyone is ugly and nobody wants to have a good time - they just wanna stand around with their overpriced drinks and pretend that they are better than they are. What a shithole!

THE REAL TRUTH!!!!. If you feel like waiting in a line for a long time to enter a club that a person says he owns but he really does not. LETS BE REAL!!! Not only is he a phoney but a liar and cheater. The place is really for prostitutes, so women keep your men at home. The VIP host will bang you because she thinks you have money. The truth about this place will soon come out. Just another lounge in philly that will fall to ground.

Hands Down the Best 'CLUB' in Philly. This is the best dance club/lounge in Philly. I guarantee you won't find a classier, fun, great music, crowd (sometimes), and staff/bouncers.

There are definitely other cheaper, prob a little more fun places but you won't find anything similar to G Lounge. I've been going here ever since it opened and never had a bad time.

First Fridays are House/Trance/Techno otherwise its a great mix of music.

Soon to be OUT OF BUSINESS. Enjoy this place now because soon it will be GONE. As the economy corrects itself (read: no more credit/easy money) people are once more CONSCIOUS of what they spend their hard earned money on. $20 cover charges and $17 drinks are NOT gonna fly in Philly much longer. They never have, they never will. It was a BUBBLE and it has burst. The sheeple are losing their homes, jobs and everything else. This place, like the many others that sprang up in this area in the past 6 years were meant to cater to the Nevou Riche d*che-bags that are now FORECLOSING and LOSING THEIR JOBS. With the "new rich" sheeple going BROKE, this menas Philly will revert to the OLD Philly (ie before 2002) - and prior to that time the highest you could ever pay for a beer in this city was $3. And THAT was pushing it. $20 cover? Biggie Smalls and Michael Jackson better be up in there. I ain't payin' a cover for Dj Mash-ups and MC nobody from Bucks County. Mook bouncers? I don't think so. This is a bar, not a CLUB - there is no REAL dance floor, just your typical dance 'area' next to the bar where the fakes can pose for their facebook photos and pretend to be having fun. Here's an idea - why not be REAL instead of being FAKE? Oh that's right because the "owner" (read: the loser who RENTS this place from the real owner) is a FAKE himself. Crash and burn. I know many of you reading this review are not from philadelphia (ie transplants) but 6 years ago and prior there were NEVER any "hot spots" in this area (ie walnut street, chestnut street, or rittenhouse square) - IT WAS NEVER A "SPOT" There were a few nice restuants on the SQUARE (Devon for instance) but there was no Pearl, G lounge, Alfa, WalnutRoom, Mansion, One, Byblos, Vango... none of this was there - nor was ANY bar or 'club; there.. This is a gentrified area catering to FAKES from the Midwest who have NO CLUE as to where they are. Rest assured when you see this place boarded up in a few months, know this is the reason why

New Hot spot for the metrosexual male and female. This place is for a certain kind of person. In other words, the metrosexual male and female. Therefore, I can understand how some people might hate it. If you don't like getting dressed up and looking nice (i.e. dress shoes, nice ironed shirt, maybe a sports jacket) don't go here. Also, you're probably going to spend more money than an average night at a local tavern because the drinks are not cheap. With that said, the people who come here are beautiful and classy, and there is a multitude of beautiful ladies. The music is great and it definitely has a hollywood/vegas type vibe. It is the new "hot spot" in town. There are no signs outside telling you where it is, just a line, so I can see how some people might have a hard time finding it. When you get inside there is plenty of room to mingle, and it was much larger than I had envisioned. The decor is also very nicely done. The owner must have hired a very good interior decorator. Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

Two words - TRY HARD. G-lounge has the best ambience in the city, great music and quality drinks. The venue itself deserves 5 enthusiastic stars. However, the way that it is managed and the crowd that it attracts takes away three stars.

The first star is for attracting ?live beyond your means? type of guys. I could not help but chuckle when guys would come in with expensive watches yet frayed jeans (is it that hard to buy the appropriate length jeans!?!) and Nunn Bush-quality shoes and tell the bouncer ?I will pay anything to get into here.? Nonetheless, I would recommend this place to young women who don?t like paying for their own drinks or are looking to meet a guy who will spend, spend, spend on them.

The second star is for attracting ?live beyond your natural age? type of girls. There are some very attractive women that come to G-Lounge. Unfortunately, it seems like their moms are also coming, spending thousands of dollars on tables in the VIP to show off how Botox and lots of makeup can deceive the untrained eye after a few drinks. My friends are all attractive, young professionals (doctors, attorneys, consultants, MPS sales reps, etc.) and this was by far the worst place to meet classy women (our ages) in Center City.

The final star is for having a FAKE line in that they intentionally keep people waiting outside so that they can a) make it look like the hot spot in town and b) have two other lines where people can pay even more to get in. Don?t get me wrong, they make a lot of money having it, but it?s a bit infuriating to wait half an hour, to pay $10, to get into a place that?s only about a third full.

In short, this place radiates ?TRY-HARD.?

Best place in Philly. This place had a great vibe. I don't know what everyone is talking about, the staff is VERY friendly. As for that girl that called the owner fat you must be talking about someone else. He is very nice and professional (not fat at all). The DJ was great!! As for it being pricey so are a lot of other places in Philly. Which in my opinion isn't bad a lot of places in Philly easily turn trashy. Im all for a place thats keeping it classy.
