David is amazing!. I recently moved to Philadelphia and a friend recommended I go to David. Thank god I went! My hair is on the thinner side and wavy and just pretty difficult to manage in general so finding a good stylist is always a struggle. After getting my hair cut, highlighted and a keratin treatment my hair is like silk. It's incredible. Highly highly recommend! It is kind of difficult to get an appointment as a new client but its well worth the wait.

not good and too expensive. I too experienced the staff talking poorly about other clients. It was very unprofessional. I just had a pedi and brow waxing and both were waaaaay too expensive. The pedi was quickly done and my feet weren't even scrubbed. How do you get a pedi with dirty feet? Gross. I was told they needed to be cleaned and taken care of better. Okay so I was walking around all day in flip flops, they're not going to be clean and pretty coming into the salon. I specifically told her how to do my brows and they weren't done how I asked and then I was told that I looked pretty now. Not nice! I can only imagine what was said after I left. Then I was told how much it would be $50 for a bad pedi and brow job! Get out of here. All was done in about 35 minutes. Whatever! I'm not going back. I just stick to my half ghetto, hour long, $20 pedi that feels great.

I have found THE ONE!. I have found THE ONE! I have been searching for a new stylist since leaving my home town in Florida 4 years ago and Meringue has won. David was a delight to be with and it is the best haircut I have ever had. I would happily pay twice as much to feel this beautiful after nothing but a cut.

Sweetly needs to lighten up on the salt!. Dear Sweetly,

You should change your name to Sourly! Making judgement calls about places you've never been is pretty ignorant, honey! Advice: Don't be a jerk for all the internet to witness. It's unattractive and the negative energy will ultimately make you feel bad. Who has time to write bad reviews about places they've never been? Not only does that lack good sense but it seems like mentally unhealthy behavior.

Have a little faith in humanity, Sweetly. We all found a hair stylist whom we love and trust. Going to him is fun and he does a terrific job. He's really good at what he does. Why is that so hard for you to believe?

Folks, he really is the best hair stylist I've ever had. If I was ever to move out of Philadelphia, I'd probably travel back strictly to get David to do my hair. Ever since I've got my latest color and cut, all my friends have been wanting to go to him. So, Sweetly, please don't go to him, so that his schedule will be more available for my friends.

David gave me the Best Hair Salon Experience!. This was my first experience having David do my hair - and I was extremely impressed! I've gone to numerous salons always looking for the perfect color and cut always somewhat disappointed...until now!

Not only a great hair cut, color, and style but a very fun and relaxed atmosphere! I highly recommend Meringue for an overall experience that will not disappoint. A true gem!

A Wonderful Experience. A wonderful experience! Meringue Salon offers a very professional and personal experience. David is extremely confident and meticulous. He knew exactly what my hair needed and proceeded to take his time to give me a beautiful cut and color. He even fixed my hair again for me after I ran to my car in the rain. David = Magic Scissor Hands. I thought I had found the best Philadelphia stylist (in my price bracket), until she completely fried my hair with an allegedly "organic" coloring product. My prematurely thinning and graying hair was a complete wreck... until!

I stopped in to see David, after observing his amazing toy collection through the window on Lombard Street. He was kind enough to take a last minute appt. and was immediately concerned about my damaged hair. He decided then and there to SAVE MY WRETCHED LOCKS! Almost a year later and my hair looks better than ever. His color choices have been unbeatable, shiny, vibrant, and I have never received so many compliments on my cut and hi-lites. (oh and did I mention he is hilarious?)

He even hooked me up with super-secret-phenomenal deep conditioning treatment. Unbelievable results. I'll never go anywhere else... it's well worth the extra bucks. David is a true hair artiste!

MIRACLE!. I went in to Meringue after a terrible experience with highlights with another stylist. The color on these highlights were so off I did not think they could be fixed.

David was able to fix my (previously awful) highlights, give me a beautiful color, and haircut that suited my face!!! I couldn't have been happier with my haircut. David was extremely friendly, and overall this was a great experience!!!! VERY highly recommended - I will definitely be back.

Best Location for Rock Star Transformation!. David stuck around at the end of the day to squeeze me into his schedule. I've been sporting the same, boring hair cut for years... but I left Meringue feeling amazing! It's the best haircut I've ever had, hands down. It's the haircut I've been wanting for years, but my regular stylist could never pull off. I also love the hip, funky glam of Meringue. David picked out the perfect sound track on his ipod and we talked music all through my rockstar transformation. It was the most fun I've ever had getting a haircut, too.
