In Short – This long-vacant corner bar once known as Shula's II now houses a perfectly welcoming Irish entry that's equally apropos for those on the go or Center City and University City regulars who come for the heavily discounted drink specials. Classic American bar fare shares menu space with beer-battered fish 'n' chips, bangers and mash and Prince Edward Island mussels. An accomplished beer list satisfies thirsty patrons. –
Awesome addition to Philly
by lemingus
The food is awesome for very reasonable prices. The folks from New Deck Tavern have built a beautiful Irish restaurant/pub which you will want to go back to time and time again. Tons of beers on tap and bottle. Kildares is a damn joke compared to this place in every aspect.
- Pros: Awesome food, cheap, many beers/cocktails, awesome decor, plenty of street parking (bring quarters)
- Cons: Nothing
