In Short – Despite the cumbersome moniker [something about a Mexican flower], there's nothing complicated about this warm and welcoming South Street newcomer bathed in bright hues and matched with equally sunny service. Black and white photographs of vintage South-of-the-Border film stars offer artistic balance for well-crafted cuisine such as bistec tampiquena and killer crepas.
For Great Mexican Food, Head to South St

This Mexican restaurant was nothing short of magnificent. We started with appetizers: a chunky guacamole dip served with perfectly crispy home-baked tortilla chips, and a ceviche dish composed of grouper, shrimp, jicama, and mango. I was so enthusiastic about the appetizers that I could have stopped there. However, our main courses were still to come, and I’m glad I saved a little room. My vegetarian enchilada dish consisted of rolled corn tortillas stuffed with zucchini, spinach, and corn drenched in Chihuahua cheese and “chile verde” sauce alongside black beans and rice. My husband ordered a seafood dish infused with lemon and served with parsley, oregano, tomatoes, and avocado. The colorful ambience (think Mexican earthenware, colorful paintings, and framed black-and-white portraits of 1940′s-era Mexican film stars) complimented an attentive waitstaff. We will return soon for more authentic Mexican goodness.
Philly's Best Surpise!!

This was an amazing restaurant. My sister and I walked down South street to find something to eat after a session at the spas, our decision was easy once we saw the plate of someone who had outdoor seating.
The guacomole was delicious. I got a salad with avocado dressing, walnuts and chicken that was to die for. My sister's dish was quite tasty as well. The mojito had a tad too much liquor for me but that's a good problem to have.
Great ambience, relatively cheap and amazing food.
Fresh & Wonderful

Found this little place by accident and so happy we did! Wonderful, friendly service and the best guacamole around! I know if all was made fresh to order. The vegetarian quesadilla could have used a little less chesse but all the fresh veggies were great. Tortilla chips made there, the salsas were great too. OVerall a huge thumbs up and a nice change of venue.
Delicious Mexican

We had a great meal. The food was vibrant. Those who have travelled in Mexico can relive the tastes at this restaurant. Maybe, it was the decor - it felt like I left Philly for an hour or two.
- Pros: Interesting entrees, fresh tasting food
- Cons: On the small side
Awful

Not authentic. Burnt tortilla chips. Ceviche with water crackers. Foul tasting beef. Tasted old and reheated.
COMPLAINED AND THEY CALLED POLICE AND MADE ME PAY FOR RANK FOOD I DIDN'T EAT. WORST RESTAURANT I'VE EVER VISITED. INTERIOR TACKY WITH PAPER NAPKINS. ENTRESS $18-$24. I wouldn't accept them again for free.
- Pros: N/a
- Cons: Terrible food, poor service
