RUDE RUDE BARTENDER!!!!!!!. Overpriced but I can deal with that.. center city. However, OUR BARTENDER BRIAN SUCKED! he was the rudest d...bag. Treated my group like dirt. I will never go back
Not enough words. I can't even describe the Raven Lounge to people and instead drag them in to see it. I used to come a bunch and then stopped for awhile until recently. One of my friends won a free one hour happy hour (obviously I went,) and after that I'm hooked again. The mix of people there is good for the hipsters just as much as the japs. For the free open bar the drinks were still strong, probably because the bartenders there are pretty sick. The music is always good and the people are always happy (and they dance, all I ask for.) There's really something there for everybody and any place that I can carry in my own pizza and not get thrown out, I love.
Re:bar. I was there this past weekend for my friends party,We all had a great time,The bartenders are all nice, the drinks are good and non expensive, the dj's play good music we all can dance to.I will def be going back again
This place is awesome!!!. I finally found a great chill and fun place in philly! I I went to the raven lounge about a week ago and had an amazing night with my girlfriends. We weren't sure what we were walking into considering it is a very different place but I'm so glad we went there now. The staff was awesome and made us feel welcome and all the games they had laying around made a really fun night. The decor is great and we all got to sign the ceiling too! I recommend everyone to check out this place at least once. This is definitely my new favorite bar! P.S. prices are great too!
i like this place a lot!. i just started coming to the raven lounge and think it's one of the most hidden gems that center city has to offer! drinks are reasonable, the staff is friendly and great, and the dj nights are pretty rad as well. big thumbs up for a bar in center city catering to the non-center-city crowd!
Great, unpretentious spot in the heart of Center City. I love the Raven Lounge and have a great time every time I go there! My friends and I go there after work as it's convenient to downtown locations, yet it stands apart from all of the other stuffy, over-priced bars in the area. The atmosphere is awesome, the staff is very friendly and easy to talk to, and you can kick back and play a game of connect 4 or enjoy anything from their PBR specials to a cosmopolitan with premium liquor. The DJ nights are great and a wonderful way to meet new people and socialize. We have, in the past, taken a spin on the pole on the swanky second floor, which has a great lounge feeling to it. The Raven is definitely a great place to unwind after a long day at work, or a great destination in the evenings for good drinks, good people and good music. I've even seen parties they've had there, and they always seem like a ton of fun. Highly recommended!
Love The Games;). Every once in a while my friends and I stop by for happy hour or something and end up playing Jenga for way too long;) Nice enough staff. Generally friendly patrons. Like the Raven Lager - it's surprisingly good for an independent. Easy going place. Would recommend it to folks who like chill places.
awesome dj's, bands, dancing, body painting, excellent service.
there is something for everyone. you never know what will happen at the raven lounge. it's what makes it different than any other bar in the area. if you're coming with attitude, dont bother- we can recommend our neighbors) there is a reason famous musicians, actors and athletes come to the raven lounge- they are tired af all the bs of everywhere else.
think the village in new york and west hollywood cali and there you go---the raven lounge!

Do not want. Over priced drinks, lame music, lame people, just a crappy bar all around. I won't be back, and I don't recommend anyone else goes either. edit: I am most certainly not one of the Raven Lounge's competitors. Check my other reviews: I'm just a dude from Philly reviewing all sorts of places. Your comment said it best- I don't want NYC or Hollywood when I go to a PHILLY bar. Sorry buddy, I'm sure you're putting a lot of hard work into the place, but after going there on two separate nights I can safely say your bar is the pits.
