Amazing Individualized Results. Truth be told, we all want to be blonde (or at least think that we could pull it off!) Even in a city as large as Philly it is extremely hard not to be cornered by the black haired, black tee shirt brigade who thinks that blonde is one color!

Bruce Slemmer understands color and how to make each woman an individual and play off of her hair texture, face structure and lifestyle. You don't leave Bruce feeling like a Stepford wife with the faux Palm Beach blonde of every other woman over 40 in the city. He tones to PERFECTION!!! He makes you the beautiful blonde that you feel you were born to be.

No damage, no frizz and no unwanted brassiness. He doesn't try to hawk product at you but will recommend the essentials necessary for you to keep looking salon fresh.

I have been in the city for three years and have tried all of the Philly hair ICONS and can tell you that Bruce is the best and I know I want the best! Don't you?

Brought my hair back to life! Best color in the city!. I have been going to Bruce for almost 2 years now and he has completely transformed my hair! When I first found Bruce, my hair was overhighlighted and over bleached and breaking near the root! I was devastated and desperate to find someone who would help me get the best color and make my hair healthy! Bruce listened to what I wanted, told me his plan, and two years later, my hair is incredibly long, healthy and a beautiful blonde color! My hair has never been healthier! It was the best decision I ever made to go to Bruce! I am so comfortable when I go, that I don't have to worry about the color or what he is doing because I trust him 100% and know that my hair will turn out great! Now that he is at Beans in center city, its so convenient and easy to get to! And it's great to walk through Beans as you leave as you have access to thousands of great beauty products too!

Hands down the number 1 hairstylist's in the city!!. When it comes down to giving you the best haircut you can get, Bruce Slemmer is the man you want to see!I have to be honest with you,I have been to every salon around town and been trying to find somebody that gives a great,well rounded and most importantly a consisent cut for years!Finally i found my guy at beans hair salon on 17th and chestnut st!Bruce can do it all!Anything you want he can make it happen!He is by far the best haircut i have recieved in my lifetime!I have been getting my haircut for a good year now by bruce and am so thankful for having found him!Believe me you will not be disappointed!Everytime i leave the salon i am more than happy with my cut! He is a perfectionist and will spend the time to give you the best cut he can!Thank god for bruce!Not only does he give a great mens haircut but he also phenemonal with ladies too!I know because my sister speaks very highly of bruce also!The bottom line is this if you want the best bruce slemmer will deliver!He is a amazing talent!!!!

Thank heaven Bruce is back in Center City!. Thank you, thank you, thank you Michael for bringing Bruce back to Beans. My mom and I have been with Bruce for 6 years now and we are both so happy that he is back at Beans.

For all of you that don't know, Bruce and Beans is the perfect combination.

Bruce is the ultimate - a stylist who can both cut and color with the best the fashion world has to offer. What is amazing about Bruce's talent is that he can handle it all - for my mom, he gives her a precision cut - for me, cuts and colors my naturally curly hair so that each time I love my hair - and I am jealous of the healthy blondes that leave his chair!

And did I forget to mention, Beans has all the products any girl or guy could ever want.

Bruce is Back!. Thank goodness Bruce is back at Bean's. He is withut a doubt the best colorist for blondes in the city. His skill and attention to his clients is unprecedented. His blonde is amazing. You leave the salon with geourgeous pale blonde shading this is stunning. I was at a loss when he was out of Center City, but am thrilled to bits that he has returned. Try him, you will NOT be dissapointed!

P.S. As a bonus, he is a great guy, too.

Bruce - curly hair genius!. I have followed Bruce 4 years. He is the only stylist that knows how to cut curly hair. My hair always looks fab! Out of all the salons I have followed him too the shampoo bar is the best. Right off the highway - great location with street parking. I drive in from Delaware n I hate dealing with center city parking and traffic. Great coffee shop across the street is a plus! U go Bruce!

Bruce Is The Bomb!. Finally got in to see Bruce at his new salon (Shampoo Bar). I have followed Bruce to three different salons. I hope he never gets too far away from me. I drive an hour each way just for his special magic. Bruce is the RARE combo of great colorist AND amazing stylist. His blowouts will make you feel like a celeb! He is the KING of Blonde, and fabulous at other colors too.

The new salon is very nice. A block away from Tacconelli's Pizza. The salon was easy to find and it was a joy not to have to pay extra for parking. I love having Bruce all to myself on the second floor. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Best Hair Colorist & Stylist. I have been following Bruce since 2000, He is the only one that can give me that beautiful blonde natural look and cut my very difficult hair. I recently went to his latest shop, Shampoo bar salon & spa on E. Somerset Street in Philly. It was so easy to get to and much quicker then past salons. I was a little Leary of where it was located, but Bruce assured me it was a nice and a up and coming neighborhood (Port Richmond). So I ventured there, there is plenty of free parking right out front..no more paying 20 bucks to park. It is a nice open area with homes going for 300,000 and full of nice trees The salon is beautiful and everyone is so friendly, Bruce is located up stairs, it was the one salon I felt most comfortable at, with nice big windows. I felt like i just wanted to move to the area He uses all the top of line products, which makes a big difference. There is a great restaurant across the street called Hinge..Highly recommend. Tacconellis Pizza is only a block over. I absolutely love this shop and location, so if your are having second thoughts about going...don't, just go, you will love it, and have lunch across the street while there. No worries at this location and I am from the Langhorne area, not a philly person at all, it's right down 95 off Allegheny Ave.. I am telling you,,just go,,you will be impressed and glad you made the trip. :) Deb McK

Best Hair Colorist & Stylist in Philly!!!!!!!!!. I highly recommend Bruce Slemmer for expert hair coloring and styling!! I have followed Bruce since 2007, and I can honestly say that he has totally transformed my hair style and color and to the point where compliments are the norm and bad hair days are a distant memory. I recently visited Bruce at his newest location,"The Shampoo Salon & Spa" in Port Richmond. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Shampoo Salon & Spa is only 1 1/2 miles north of center city Philly and is nestled in a cute gentrified area (homes selling upwards of $285,000) that has lots of free parking. There is also very easy access to I-95 and the NJ bridges. For those who haven't been to the new location yet, the Shampoo Bar and Spa is a modern shop where Bruce is featured on the second floor. I absolutely love the weekend hours due to my hectic work schedule. Bruce is a very gifted genius when it comes to hair. He is very artistic and takes everything into consideration - skin tone, face shape, life style, color shades, hair texture, and very patiently explains everything to you in order to achieve an incredible, amazing hair style, color, and look for you. I'm simply blown away by his work! Believe me, you will NOT be dissappointed!!

Bruce Slemmer - God of Blonde. I am one of Bruce's new clients and I can't even begin to tell you what a woderful stylist he is! I have very difficult hair to work with- dark, curly, and unruly. I have spent years fighting nature in my attempy to wear my hair long, blonde, and straight. I began to get frustrated with my color never looking quite right. Thankfully, I found Bruce in my search for the ultimate colorist to give new life to my hair.

I have been to many salons and hve seen many stylists and i must say, Bruce is fantastic. From the firt time i sat in his chair, he listened to everything i had to say. He then spent 5 hours correcting my color to transfom it from brassy with dark roots, to the perfect shade of blonde for my skin tone. I was most impressed with the fact that HE worked on my hair for the entire time (no assistants applying color, etc). He worked tirelessly to get my hair just perfect. I walked out of the salon thrilled with his work. I knew I'd be back for more!

I then followed Bruce to his new location at Shampoo Bar, where he is now featured upstairs in a heavenly spa-like setting. My second visit with Bruce was even more amazing! He helped me find the right products for my fragile hair, while making my blonde even more perfect. Bruce is a true genius and will stop at nothing to give you the hair you've alwys wanted. Run, don't walk to shampoo bar for your appointment with Bruce!!
