Genius Colorist & Stylist!. Bruce will rock your hair!

I first got my hair done by Bruce a couple of months ago and he will now be the only person I let touch my hair from now on! For the past 5 years or so I have had an auburn/red color in my hair that I have gradually been trying to get rid of and if anyone knows hair you know that red is impossible to get out of your hair especially when you want to go blonde. Every time someone would try and fade my red out with blonde it would come out yellow and orange and it felt like I was never going to see the color that I wanted. I had heard about how great of a colorist Bruce was so I figured I would give him a try and it was the best decision I have ever made for my hair! I told him what I wanted and he knew exactly how to get my color the way that I wanted it. He turned my color from a yellow/orange mess into a beautiful white blonde and I love it!! With out a doubt the best colorist and stylist I have ever been to!

The GO-TO For Blonde Color!!!. Bruce goes ABOVE & BEYOND!!!

I have been getting my hair highlighted blonde for 10 + Years. No one has EVER gotten my blonde color right. It was either too golden, too ashy, too yellow - something was just always off!

Well someone FINALLY got it right - BRUCE!!

First, the salon is great. Everyone was extremely friendly & made me feel right at home! Plus the place is super clean and really cute!

Bruce was great. He really spent the time with me explaining what he was going to be doing with my hair, the products he would be using, etc. His enthusiasm for what he does is amazing! He is so much fun to chat with too!

Bruce gave me a full highlight with two different shades of blonde. I also got a treatment that he recommended for my hair because I have curly hair + dye it blonde + straighten it which = very damaged hair!

As soon as I got back in the chair even with a wet head I could tell the color was FABULOUS. After he blew out my hair - I was literally speechless! I couldn't believe how amazing my color was. It looked natural and was the blonde that I had been trying to obtain for so many years! I really couldn't believe it! The treatment also was unbelievable! My hair felt so soft and was extremely shiny! Bruce worked his magic & literally transformed my hair! I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks!

Trust me -- Bruce is the guru of hair! You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Absolutely Amazing Colorist!!. After a 16 month stint out in California, I returned last July to the Philly area and decided I needed a new colorist and stylist for my hair. Not only do I have a good friend that has been using Bruce for a couple years, but I was overwhelmed by the positive reviews that I saw on this site.

Let me just tell you....I have not been disappointed at all!

I'm a natural brunette (pretty light in color) and had been sticking to the same cut and color for a while. Bruce was honest with me in my very first visit that I had been wasting money on doing a full foil every time. His technique and attention to detail helps to prolong the time between appointments. I hadn't been in since November 2010 and the color still looked natural and the roots were practically unnoticeable. When I went in yesterday, I told him I wanted to go SUMMER and he immediately knew what to do. I have this beigy, honey-ish, warm blonde hair now from the 2 different blonde highlights he put in my hair and it looks AMAZING!

He is well worth the money, especially since he'll direct you NOT to do too much each visit. It's natural and beautiful work and I get compliments on it all the time.

Best Colorist!. Bruce is a color genius! I grew up as a blonde and always wanted to stay that way- We all know age changes that! Bruce found the perfect blonde for me- He truly took time to talk to me about my skin tone and facial structure to create a color and cut that was simply perfect! He did not push anything on me, including products- I arrived with a muddy color hair that I despised, and I left looking like a natural beautiful blonde. Bruce also took the time to show me how to dry my hair to prevent it from looking damaged. Bruce has amazing talent and doesn't leave it up to assistants to do his art! He's one of a kind and I'll drive the distance to see him! Tommi salon is lucky to have Bruce!

Best hair cut and color ever!. After reading the review for Bruce I could not agree more, he is the best hair stylist and colorist I have ever met. I have very thick natura lcurl hair the is very hard to manage and what he did to my hair was amazing! The color looks perfect and my curls look great. He also did my mom and sister's hair and there hair also looks amazing! I am going to recommed him to all my friends!!!

Corrective coloring - amazing!. As every review has said, the man clearly has talent. That said, my experience couldn't have been better. I have dark blonde hair and really light skin. I went to another salon in Philly and wanted my hair toned down for winter. Instead of suggesting a few lowlights, I was talked into "touching up my roots and then going down a color". What really happened is that they bleached out my roots and then dyed my hair some hideous color that looked light brown with an orange tint! I went to Bruce and he explained that I simply cannot do "warm" colors...TRUE, it makes me look pale and pink at the same time. He also got me in the day I called for a consultation, told me what he suggested we do and the exact cost. Then he explained what he could do in future treatments and the cost of those. He managed to put in "partial" highlights to keep with my budget...but it was honestly almost a full head of highlights, definitely not partial! My hair looked 10 times better than when I walked in and the salon threw in a free conditioning treatment since I was a new customer and also gave me a $20 coupon for services the next time I visited! Everyone was so nice and I couldn't believe they got me in the next morning after the consultation. The total cost of partial blonde highlights (that were equivalent to FULL highlights at other places) was $145. I was going to the gym afterwards so I didn't get a blowout, but they did dry me enough so that Bruce could check that the color was right. Wonderful!

Best Stylist EVER!!!. I second every great thing said about Bruce! I've followed him to different salons and have cheated in between with some not-so-great stylists that charge more than Bruce. He is hands down the God of blondes, and I can't say enough about his talent with those scissors - my thin long hair is completely transformed at the end of the session. My friends always compliment my hair after seeing Bruce, they says "it's so perfect, like doll hair." The best thing is he loves what he does, and it shows. I think his smile is just as big as mine when we're admiring his work in the mirror. And on top of all his awesomeness he's not a snobby City stylist! He's won awards and has high class clients but Bruce is a really genuine guy; he always makes me feel like an old friend :) I was totally surprised that he remembered so much about what I've blabbed in his chair these past 3 years! I would recommend Bruce to anyone and everyone, and that's why I took time out of my day and signed up on here!!! So if you're reading this and you've read the other reviews... what are you waiting for?!?! You won't be disappointed! And Tommi Studio is a lovely salon located in a great area of Philly and has a bunch of cool services available. Thank you Bruce <3

Hair Stylist with Talent and Passion. Stop wasting time and money with hair stylists that do listen and lack the talent and passion to color, cut and style your hair. Bruce will not disappoint you. My hair looks so natural, and I get compliments all the time. Bruce does not overbook clients so he gives you his full attention. Bruce also uses top quality products for healthy and long lasting results. Bruce is a genuinely nice person and his passion for his work is self evident. I always feel like a celebrity when I leave the salon. I am so satisfied with my hair. I was very frustrated with hair stylists in

Orlando, FL. I enjoy visiting Philly and tried a few salons before I discovered Bruce. My hair was damaged, and the color was not natural looking or long lasting. It turned brassy or the color was cheap and did not cover my grey. I also do not like booking a color appointment only

to have the stylist's assistant color my hair and still pay full price. I also do not like a hair stylist to cut inches off my

hair when I specifically state, I only want the split ends

trimmed or layers added to my hair when I state that I am

growing out my hair. Bruce cuts hair fantastic. I now have

volume and my hair is growing long with the monthly trim.

Bruce is a great stylist. I went to Tommi salon specifically for Bruce Slemmer because I heard of all his good reviews. I had long boring hair for the longest time but I was getting tired of it and just wanted a new look. However I didn't really know what to do with it. So I went to Bruce and told him my situation. He gave me some suggestions but he wasn't pushy at all like other stylist. He respects what you want and gets a sense of your style. So anyway he gave me a great short haircut that I must admit at the start I wasn't used to but now I really love. When I got to work everybody was raving about it. I had so many compliments from people! I was really happy. It also grew pretty well and was easy to manage. I totally recommend him. He's really a great stylist. :)

Really, really, really good.. I went to Bruce because I was unhappy with the last color job I got. I read all the reviews and figured that all these people couldn't be wrong. So I booked the appointment and hoped for the best. What I got was so much better - really beautiful natural looking color - I went from dark brown to blond and it looks like I was born with it. He was great picking out a shade to compliment my skin tone. On top of that, he's such a nice guy with no attitude and reasonable prices. I can't recommend him enough.
