Best hair stylists I've ever found. I won't go anywhere else!. No one knows how to style/color/cut like Joey and his girls. I let him choose my color, which I love, and I let him do what he wants for the cut and style. Joey studies your hair before he even does anything else. He wants to know what the texture is like, if it's curly, if you have cowlicks and then he looks at it under the lights, in daylight to see what the natural highlights look and then he chooses a color and it's gorgeous, a rich brown with auburn highlights. I love it every time. They use top line products that leave my hair feeling and looking amazing and when he styles it, I wish it would last forever. And Joey does everything himself from wash to finish because he wants to be there for every part of your experience in the salon. The salon itself is adorable and cozy. The camaraderie is wonderful and it feels like a party every time I'm there. I can't say enough great things!

Best Salon Experience Ever. I have very "difficult" hair, so I have been to many, many salons over the years, desperately trying to find someone who could both give me a great cut/color, as well as provide me with the tips and styling aids to help me when I do my hair myself. Joey Rose, the owner of Rinse, does all of that and more. When I first went to Joey, my hair was incredibly damaged, and the color was awful. My hair has literally been transformed since Joey has been my stylist, and he always recommends great products that seem to work wonders. While I am partial to Joey since I have been going to him before Rinse opened, I have seen what a great job the other stylists do on their clients as well.

The salon itself has a very soothing, relaxing atmosphere, and is not at all stuffy or pretentious like many of the other salons I have been to in the city. One thing that always bothered me about hair salons was feeling pressured to buy products; Joey never, ever tries to convince me to buy something just for the sake of buying it, and if anything, he tries to save me money wherever he can. It is very refreshing not to feel pressured to buy this shampoo or that conditioner, but only to have suggestions as to what products will make my hair easier to manage and healthier.

I recommend this salon to my friends and co-workers frequently...I (and my hair!) couldn't be happier with Joey Rose and Rinse!!

Try this salon!. I LOVE MY HAIR!

Okay, now that I've said that - I went to Rinse for the first time this week because it is very close to my house. I wanted my medium red hair lightened to a wheat blonde. The salon is very wam and cozy with a very friendly staff. Michelle was my stylist and she was waiting for me when I arrived. We had quite a lengthy consult about the color change and I loved that she was so candid with me about what to expect. Apparently you can't go from medium red to wheat blonde in one step without totally trashing your hair and ending up looking really brassy. She took time to make sure I understood what was involved (multiple visits to achieve the look I wanted). I had an evening appt. and was there until just after 8pm and even though they don't usually close that late, they were very nice to me. Anyway, after correcting the red in my hair and adding highlights to the top, Michele started drying my hair and decided that there was too much contrast between the highlights and my natural color. Even though it was already late she re-glazed my hair and didn't charge me for it - she wanted it to look perfect. The results are gorgeous - even though I know this is only step one, my hair looks beautiful in transition! I almost gave rated this salon a 9.5 because it was expensive, but because I am so happy with the results, I am fine with paying the money. Did I mention that I LOVE MY HAIR??? Thanks, Michelle!

Absolutely Fabulous. Rinse is a very warm and comfortable place. My hair stylist, Katie, greeted and offered me coffee the min I walked in the door. There was no wait. She was friendly and eager to understand what it is I wanted to achieve in my hair style. Judging by my experience and the cult following of a couple hundred UPenn Grad students I'd say this is definately the place you want to go!
