Mount Airy Animal Hospital is very good and I do recommend them. They charged me $94 when I took Sam in. Sam has a lot of hair and he often doesn’t let me brush him. So his hair gets tangled, but the veterinarian there is able to comb a majority of it. He will also shave the lower part on the side if it’s real tight to the skin so that it doesn’t hurt Sam. They have patience and they are very caring. He also trims Sam's nails and he talks to him and pets him. He gives him the vaccines he needs, he examines his eyes, he listens to his heart, and he checks his teeth and his ears. He answers every problem or if I notice any difference in Sam since he is getting older. The veterinarian tells me that he is all right. They also don’t rush you and I appreciate that.

Each and every doctor over there is wonderful. If you had ever taken your pet there, they will come and ask you about your pet even if they are not taking care of your pet. The trainers and the technicians over there are very friendly and warm people. I would use their services in the future too.

They are terrific. They are wonderful veterinarians. I adopted Crystal from their office and she is three years old now. I took her back for her physical. I now have to take Jackson to them. They have sent me a card, which is adorable. It states that they are only concerned about Jackson's health. They want him to come in so that they can check him because they know that he always runs from me. I have a terrible time trying to catch him. So I hope to take him to the hospital as soon as I can since his nails need to be cut and he needs a physical too. Mount Airy Animal Hospital is very good and I do recommend them. I haven't compared their price to anyone else and I realize that they give personal care. The quality of their service is excellent. They are responsive. I called them once and told them that I can' t get Jackson, but they told me not to worry and also said that they would be available even till 8 o' clock if I could take him in. They told me to call them back if I was planning to get him in between 6 o' clock and 7 o' clock. I don' t think many offices would go along with you. They didn't ask me to pay because I made an appointment and I couldn't get Jackson in there. I offered to pay, but they didn't accept it. They said that they would work with me and that's what they do. Each and every doctor over there is wonderful. This place has been good to me for vet care especially for boarding. There's a very sweet tech who helped my dog through her intense separation anxiety the first time she was there. I was surprised at how incredibly happy my dog has been every time she's left boarding. I also like that they have an incredibly flexible cancellation policy for boarding--I've been able to cancel within 24 hours with no fees or problems.

Mt Airy animal hospital is a compassionate, competant place to take your pets. They are busy and you often have to wait, which is a downside, but worth the wait. Staff answers questions if you have them and truly care about animals. We love Dr. Jones, she has an excellent bed side manner and 2 pit bulls and lots of cats. She will guide you though controversies with shots and not make your pet get the optional ones if you don't want to.

I have a wonderful cat and he's 11 with a heart murmur, he had a severe urinary infection whereby he was completely blocked and could not go in his box or anywhere. I took him to Mt. Airy hospital and he was seen by Dr. Wilkerson. I was crying because I didn't think he'd survive. They said they would have to put him out and use a cathiter but there was a danger because using the anesthesia because of the heart murmur. They put him on IV, put in cathiter, antibiotics. After 2 days he got better and told me to start using special food specifically for urinary infections because if he gets another one, it could be fatal. I owe Mt. Airy hospital and Dr. Wilkerson for saving my cat's life and I am very grateful for that. I would recommend this hospital and the staff, especially Dr. Wilkerson to anyone with a sick animal.

I have a 6 year old rescue cat named bear. He had a chronic illness that hit roughly every 6 months since he was two. I took him to several pet hospitals, and trauma centers could not diagnose. Over 2 years, he came very close to dying 3 times, requiring blood transfusions and drug regimens. Many tests and no answers. I remembers Mt. Airy Animal Hospital, my family's vet when i was growing up, and the same vet my sister uses for her dog. So i took him in to Mt. Airy, and saw Doctor Wilkerson. he listened to my cat's history, looked at the previous test results, ran a couple more and suggested a different diagnosis. He tried the new drugs and they worked. My cat bounced back immediately and it turns out my cat had a chronic illness and he figured it out. He and the techs were were bright, caring professionals. My pets will always go here.
