I will never go here again
by phillygirl921 at Citysearch
I had been going to this hair salon for a few years. I tried out a number of stylists and although I never had a fabulous cut, I always thought the cut was good for the price. I recently made an appointment to get my hair straightened. They said it would take a couple of hrs so my mother-in-law took off from work to care for my son. I called in the morning to confirm my appointment. Less than 2 hrs before my appointment, they called to tell me they were out of the product. My mother-in-law had already arrived. I thought it was very unprofessional to not realize you are running out of the product until the last minute. However, I realize that mistakes happen. I could have dealt with it if they were apologetic at all. I did not feel like the person who called cared at all about the inconvenience this was for me. They did not offer any compensation and when I asked to speak to the supervisor, they gave me the number of the division head who does not work at this particular salon. I left 3 messages and never got a call back. I also wrote a letter to the salon and never heard back. I could not believe that this is how they run a business. I will never go back there. If you care at all about customer service, do NOT go there!! (As an aside, I got highlights once and did not think they did a great job. They started too far from the root and it did not look natural.)
I will never go anywhere else!

I have been going to this salon for about three years now. I absolutely love them and won't take my hair anywhere else. I've had three different stylists here and loved all three of them. I've had cuts, colors, and blowouts, as well as really, really great advice on handling my hair. They always take all the time I need to listen to what I want, give advice, answer questions, and agonize with me over decisions like what colors to choose. I have NEVER had any problems or ever felt as though I wasn't happy with my service or the results, and I ALWAYS leave there looking absolutely fabulous. I seriously am amazed by the things they can do with my hair.
- Pros: Many talented hairstylists
- Cons: They don't offer coffee or tea like my last salon
Bad Managemet

I had Dana has my hairstylist. It was my first time there. I thought it would be nice to treat myself for a change and was very disappointed. She left hair dye all around my hair line almost an inch thick!. I didn't see it because she covered it with my bangs. I went out after to celebrate and was so embarrassed when my friends noticed it. I payed a lot of money to get it dyed when i was probably better off get a box of hair dye from the drug store because the color did not last at all. On top of that i found out she is currently the manager at the salon!
hair experience

okay my hair stylist was erica, spent 265.00, not sure it was worth it. some of the girls were pleasant, others, very bitchy. could tell there was friction between the girls. this is a place i would not return to.the atmosphere was very cold. when spending 265.00 at a salon i accept a wonderful experience, did not get that at all. erica did not give me the haircut i asked for, nor the color i wanted, i will be requesting my money back. think twice before going to this salon.
- Pros: okay haircut , okay hair color
- Cons: bad attitudes
Beware - One of the stylists will not take black customers

A friend of mine brought her daughter in the other day to have her hair cut and styled. Erica was not doing anything, but when asked to work on the girl's hair, she refused, even though she was just sitting around with nothing to do.
- Pros: Many of the hairdressers are awesome
- Cons: Erica will not service black clients or children
