Great cut & excellent service!!! If you're in Philly, try this place…you won't be disappointed!!! I really dislike having my haircut when travelling…however Jahmal's personal service, professionalism and manner were excellent. When I'm back in the very near future, I'll definitely use his services again. Used the online booking system, which was clear and easy to use, to secure an appointment.

Perfect way for Groom & Groomsmen to spend the morning.

As a wedding planner / coordinator, I am forever looking for something special to offer clients. Recent clients of mine decided to give a day of beauty / grooming to their attendants as a gift. I made an appointment with Jahmal at 2 Be Groomed for 9 men of varying ages to each receive a straight edge razor shave & a hair spruce on the day of the wedding. The owner not only closed the shop to the public for two and half hours in order to accommodate the party he did a wonderful job all the men looked great! I asked the groom and the groomsmen what they thought of the services provided by 2 Be Groomed. Each and everyone of them said it was a great experience, they all felt pampered, it was the best shave & hair cut they have ever received and they would all go back if given the opportunity (8 of the 9 were from out of state).

As a wedding planner / coordinator, it is sometimes difficult to schedule beauty / grooming services for the day of the wedding because of time and sometimes-financial limitations. 2 Be Groomed was more than willing to work within my timeline – fulfilling the promise that the men would be done on time, while offering a top notch service for an affordable price- a gift that the groom was proud to give to his friends. I will definitely recommend 2 Be Groomed to future clients for mens wedding services. I also encourage anyone looking for a special / unique gift to give to the man who has everything - send them to 2 Be Groomed for a day of manly indulgence.

ONLY go here if you have or want your hair short.

if you have short hair, this is probably the best place to go. If you have long or even somewhat long hair, this is definitely NOT the best place to go. I got my hair BUTCHERED by Jamal. I even showed him a few pictures of my hair before and how i wanted it, and he did the complete opposite. My hair is so short and awkward. I don't understand how he could think i would want my hair this short and awkward based on the pictures i showed him. This is the haircut you give 7 year olds in the summer time. It's so bad I'm thinking of shaving my head for the first time. He cut it so short except in the back, so it looks like i have a mini mullet. And in a week or 2, it'll look like a full blown mullet. He even parted my hair on the wrong side and based my haircut on that. When I realized what he was doing, it was too late. I could've went to the haircuttery and gotten a better job for half the price. Don't believe the hype, unless you have short hair and/or want a shave. At least they're really nice.

Oh yeah, this is the first review i've ever written on anyplace, and i tried not to, cuz i felt bad, but i'm sooo diasppointed and pissed that i blew away 31 dollars plus tip on the worst haircut i've had in a while... only come here if you want your haircut short, otherwise, go anywhere else, cut it yourself, let your grandma cut it...

The Best Shave Ever!

I stopped by to see a few demonstrations they were doing at a commercial show last weekend and got impressed by the expertise of one of their barbers. He was shaving a guy with a straight razor and he did an awesome job. Everybody got amazed by the great/clean results. I got his bussiness card, his name is Diego. I had the opportunity to talk to him for a little bit and I am sure he will be my barber from now on. He does an excellent job. Recommended 100%.

Best haircut.

Jamal is the owner/operator of this two chair business and his dedication to his craft is second to none. 7 days a week you can find the affable Jamal doing what he truly enjoys in his cozy jazz filled shop. The end product is something he takes tremendous pride in and my girlfriend always says I look great. Haircuts are $30, and I usually schedule appointments. I am definitely going to try a shave soon!
