Authentic Thai Food You Can't Get Anywhere Else!. Amazing Thai Food, Awesome Sushi! Romantic-Modern Decor and Great Staff!

I've eaten at Heng's Thai so many times over the years, and I have never been disappointed with their food. They are famous for their Thai Steamed Dumplings and Crispy Taro --two dishes that are perfect to start out with.

In terms of entrees, I definitely recommend their Drunken Noodles, Kanom Bueng (stir-fried coconut shred crepe), and Curries. I just had their Chilean Sea Bass today --an off menu special-- and it was perfectly pan-seared and covered in their red curry sauce. I loved that it came with healthy sides of brown rice and seaweed salad. There are so many other healthy options on the menu, as well as their integration of Japanese cuisine.

Sushi, rolls, udon, you name it, they have it. Their specialty rolls like the Godzilla and Volcano are very popular and every plate is gorgeously presented. To end your meal, you must get their Coconut ice cream. Especially if you come in a large party or just looking to share with another, get the "Banana Combo" --Coconut ice cream served over sweet fried bananas. It's absolutely to die for!

The price range is moderate. Appetizers run from $3 to $10, and entrees are about $14+. It is not a cheap restaurant, but a place that is both casual and classy. So if you are looking for a place that is romantic, has amazing food, is kid-friendly, and accommodating, Heng's Thai is the place to be.

great food and nice atmosphere for cheap!. I went to Heng's looking for a cheap but nice restaurant, and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here. The restaurant is very inexpensive, it is BYOB, the decor inside is very nice despite the non-descipt outward appearance and location in a strip mall. Most important, the food was excellent! I highly recommend it.

Great Thai - big price. Very lovely decor. Nothing spectacular but simply refined.

Personnel most polite and accomodating.

Now - dinner.

The menu offered numerous possibiliies. My party tried to limit ourselves to Thai ( not fusion) items.

Now, in Thai restaurants, one is expected to oder by person. But we decided to share: price was a factor- as noted later. Entrees range around $15.

We started with an appetizer of coconut on lettuce - very pleasant: and with sliced beef - also very nice.]

For the main we had a wonderful curry and a duck tamarind. Both very nice.

The prices here are high for a simple Saturday night. Entrees run around $15 or more. Not that that's bad - especially if you know how much work goes into Thai food, but still - for four people, in a stip mall in Springfield - that can be a bit high, We ended up wih a +$60 tab for a simple Satirday night for four - and - we split Chinese style. (Two appetizers and two entrees).

You can go to Old Country Buffet across the pike for under $10 each,. Not that you have the quality, but at least you have dinner.;

If you have the bucks and you appreciate Thai food in a pleasant setting - give it a go,
