Do not order from them....they forgot to deliver my sister's wedding cake on 5/31/2013...don't believe me call up anthonys in Drexel hill,had to leave the reception to bang on their closed doors...they think there is nothing wrong with that...horrible

You wont be dissappointed. I followed the recommendation of several friends and tried Sophisticakes for my daughter's christening cake. And Im glad I did. The cake and icing was delicious and gained multiple compliments from guests. The bakers followed my vague directions of "pastel colors and nothing too over the top" perfectly to create a beautiful cake with a tasteful cross and small flowers fitting for the occasion. Both on the phone and in person the staff was friendly and accommodating and you can see in the store that the baking and prep area is very clean and organized. I will continue to give my business to this local bakery for all my future events. Its my first mothers day this year so Im going to have to find a way to convince my husband that a cake from Sophisticakes is the perfect way the celebrate!

Best Bakery Near Philly!. These ladies know how to bake. Their cakes and cupcakes are amazingly flavorful, sweet enough without being overbearing, and have an amazing, moist but substaintial crumb (I don't love cakes that have such a light crumb that it doesn't feel like food in your mouth). I don't normally love banana (but I like it), and tried their banana cupcake today. Wow. Besides their obvious skill with a cake recipe, the icing was really masterful, again, sweet enough and with enough banana flavor to highlight rather than obliterate the cake. This skill is typical of all of the goods I have tried. Their apple strudel sells out often, so order yours before they run out. The texture is unbelievable, tender yet slightly chewy crumb, beautifully executed apple filling (and I don't love apple filling). Order your birthday or special occasion cake from them as well. I am trying a birthday cake for my one year old tomorrow. Doing everything I can NOT to eat it before the guests arrive. But that is what the banana cupcake was for :-)

One who loves icing!!. I had the pleasure of tasting one of your cakes at a recent christening. The cake was beautiful and ooh so good. I am a cake person, so I know an awesome cake when I eat one. I will definitely order from there in the future.

best kept secret in delaware county. Had their cake at a birthday party and couldn't believe how good it was! Went to their shop to order the cake for my daughter's graduation party. The shop is very pretty and clean. Everyone there was very helpful. I'm so happy I finally found a great bakery!
