DISGUSTING.... We went here last saturday with another couple and where do I start. The hostess was down right rude, the waitress was worse and has no knowledge of the menu.

The "Gypsy nachos" were store bought nachos with sr. cream, cheese whiz and two human head hairs in them.

The "pretel crusted" pork chop was undercooked- DANGEROUS and was breaded NOT covered with pretzels.

Perhaps the owner should stop socializing and spend a little time supervising her staff.

Not great. This was my second time here, and again, I was dissapointed. Over priced food and drinks. $10 for drinks that are small and mediocre. Not to mention the rude owner/manager who made us feel uncomfortable because my party was not finishing up fast enough. I felt rushed out. It's a very small space - which could be cozy, but ends up being crowded. The whole experience was not pleasant and I will not be returning. I would rather spend my time and money at a better establishment in Conshohocken.

Just OK. Went here with a group of friends and had to stand around and wait at the crowded bar because they would not seat us until everyone was there - hate that. We were seated by the kitchen/back door/bathroom area and got a FREEZING blast of wind everytime someone went outside to smoke - which was very frequently!!! That definitely put a damper on things. The antipasta appetizer and caesar salad was good. I got the Lobster & Penne entree and it was good - not great. The entrees are definitely overpriced though. The one saving grace for this place, for me, was the dessert - I had a chocolate chip bar/brownie. Delish! Overall - just OK.

Overrated and overpriced. This place is overrated and overpriced. I'm a value guy. If I'm paying a marginal amount, I expect marginal food and decor. If I'm paying a lot, I expect a lot.

Gypsy has pretty decent food. But that's it. The decor is bare-bones cheap, making you feel like you are eating in somone's back kitchen. The food is pretty good, no doubt. But you look at what you're spending for what you just ate and you get that "They shouldn't be charging this much" feeling.

The prices are in line with top tier center city and main line restaurants, but the food is decent (not to die for) and the decor is flat out cheap.

There are many better places to go for the money than this one.

The best kept secret of Conshohocken!!. Ok it may not be a secret considering the number of people there on the Friday evening i went (which was still only about 4 other couples), but it sure isn't advertised enough! I went to the Gypsy Saloon with my best friend to celebrate her birthday and we were amazed from the moment we set foot inside the door! The decor of the restuarant makes you feel like you're in the middle of India with the bold golds, purples, and greens. For bigger parties, they even have tables with benches and colorful pillows arranged to sit on. There are candles mounted on the walls and beautiful decorations everywhere...my friend and I are still talking about the pleasant and at-home atmosphere as much as we are the food...and the food!! We ordered the Crab and Spinach Springroll along with the Mussels Margarita for our appetizer and shared. Both were devine! She had the lobster tortilini and I had the Scallops wrapped in serrano ham for our entrees...both are oh so good! The Scallops had a vanilla soy reduction that became a little strong after 2 (4 huge scallops come on the platter), but it was still so good that I didn't want to stop eating, or ever leave for that matter!! We both had the carrot cake for dessert, which wasn't the best i've ever tasted but it was good non-the-less (and i've had alot of really bad carrot cake unfortunately)...all in all, The Gypsy Saloon is one of the best experiences both my friend and I have had together in a long time! The staff was friendly and the food was so good that we both ordered entrees to bring home to our boyfriends...the entree i ordered was the babyback ribs which i was able to try and he LOVED them (hes a very picky eater too), and she ordered the salmon to bring home which i heard was also extremely good as well...if anyone reads this, please take the time to make a trip here. It is a little on the pricier side, according to how much you actually order, but I assure you that you won't regret it!
