Worst Eyebrow Wax - Beware. Do not have your eyebrows waxed by Lisa. Not only did she take off the majority of my eyebrows, they are not even!! It will take over a year for my brows to grow in.
Makes me feel great all over.
I came across juju by chance but it was my lucky day. After years of thinking I had to wear my wavy hair short , have it chemically straightened, and wash and blow it dry every day to control it, I
learned that I can wear it long, wash it once or twice a week with beautiful-smelling organic products and have the silky, shiny hair I always wanted. And my color looks natural and smells great from day one.
I wasnt sure at first if I was too old for juju but I was warmly welcomed and left feeling like family.
Speaking of family, now my three adult children are juju customers, too!…
Afternoon of beauty at Juju. wanted to recommend Juju for Skin, hair and color! This was my first time at this salon, having been just about everywhere in Philly over the last 20 years. It hits that perfect balance of really chic yet really comfortable. No pretentious attitude to be found) I left there feeling like I had been on a vacation. Dont miss Renee's facial ( I will never go anywhere else) and Erin for hair was great!!…
I still get compliments on my haircut after 3 months :).
Christie at Juju gave me a pixie crop haircut 3 months ago and it still gets compliments from random strangers. :) It's growing out so gracefully without any shape issues - which I think is the mark
of a really good haircut - I love it! She must have used a very sharp razor too because I don't have any splits yet. Hannah is amazing too ... she gave me several really beautiful haircuts and she has a knack for picking colors that worked well with my skin color.
I love this salon in general ... the atmosphere is so clean and relaxed and comfortable and the products are safe for my super-sensitive skin. It's one of the few salons where I really feel comfortable. They were also so nice about doing a free color correction one time when I thought the highlights were too light for me. And there's that awesome tea shop right across the street. :)…
Would not go back again for pedicure and mani.
I had a spa pedicure and manicure. The retro chair was darling and blended in just swell with the decor. But it was uncomfortable as all hell. I felt like I had to hang on to the end edge of the
chair in order not to fall off. It is not a regular pedicure chair but an old upholstered chair with no arms and leans to one side because it's old.
The pedicure was nothing special and I didn't feel like i was getting any special pampering for the price. Water is poured into a basin from another room and was lukewarm at best and barely covered my ankles. The products are good but the application left much to be desired. There is no privacy and it is not a tranquil environment, so I didn't feel relaxed when it was over, just happy to be out of the chair I was trying not to fall out of.
The manicure was just more of the same. I have not been to the spa, but perhaps that may be a better place to move the manicure and pedicure facilities to, if it can accommodate it. I'm assuming it's a more tranquil environment.…
