Oooh la la!. Okay, so I came into Metro with total skepticism and some stubborn leg hair that didn't want to do anything other than start growing the minute after I shaved. And I was scared. My technician is Jess (who is awesome), who completely alleviated my fears the second I walked in the door. They do a new client orientation and consultation on your first visit that completely explains everything and allow you to ask as many silly questions as you want. Jess was patient, friendly and completely informative.

My treatment took less than 20 minutes and hurt way less than waxing ever did. Jess talked with me and distract me the whole time.

I am now on my fourth treatment (out of 6) and the very little hair that has shown up between treatments has been willowy soft blonde hair (my leg hair was dark and coarse), that I can't even see it...only feel it. I'm pretty psyched.

I definitely recommend this place and definitely recommend Jess. She makes me feel like I am the only client she has that day and is completely focused on me. I'm considering doing my "special area" and would only want to do it with her.

Oh, and they offer you a glass of wine while you wait...which of course, I accepted on my first visit to calm my nerves. I didn't need it after that!…

Awesome!. Metro Laser is awesome! I bought the Groupon deal for my underarms and had never had any type of lasering before. I had some trouble finding them (they are in an office looking type building on the 20th floor) so just go a little early if you aren't familiar with the area. I was really nervous about my underarms, and had no idea how much it was going to hurt. Jessica took me into the room and answered all of my questions and was really nice. She immediately put me at ease and her professionalism was very apparent. She did one test spot to make sure I was ok with how it felt and I realized on a scale of 1-10 it was only like a 2-3. It truly feels like someone is just snapping a rubber band lightly on you. The procedure took like 30 seconds on each underarm! It was so fast and there was no swelling afterwards. As my hair grew back in over the next week, it shed just like all the information tells you it does.

For my next appointment I decided to get another area done for summer--my bikini--especially since they are running a deal on their website. I was a million times more nervous about this procedure. I tried waxing one time down there and said NEVER AGAIN it hurt so bad. Jessica was again really great, answered all my questions, and showed me the different price options for different types of bikini areas. The prices are really reasonable and less than most of what I have seen on the websites of other Philly places. I told Jessica I was worried about the pain down there b/c waxing was so painful. She said if I was ok with under my arms I would be ok down there, and that she felt the same way about waxing. I was less embarrassed than I thought I would be when she was working on my bikini area. She is quick and efficient, and very clinical about it. You don't have underwear on at all, but there is a towel that she uses to keep you covered when she isn't working on you. On a pain scale it is about a 6-7, but as soon as I wanted to say I needed a break she was onto another area. And then it was finished! It probably took 5 or 6 minutes. Metro Laser Hair Removal is Wonderful!. I bought the Groupon deal for the 6 brazilian hair removal treatment sessions. I went for my 1st session today and I was so nervous and scared. I am a very big baby when it comes to these things. I tried a brazilian wax before and actually left in the middle of it, wax still on me and all! lol.

At Metro laser, Jessica was taking care of me. She is very nice and calming. She did a test area, which didn't really hurt that bad, I am just crazy and told her that I didn't know if I could go through with it. She comforted me as I was contemplating leaving and just giving up the money. She told me that it wasn't that bad, that she knew that I could do it and I would regret it if I didn't. She made me feel better, so I took some deep breaths and told her to continue. Then during, I was scared about her going toward the inner more sensitive areas, so I told her she didn't have to do that. Once again, she comforted me and told me that it wouldn't be that bad, that I was doing so good so far, and that it would be really quick and I am strong enough to do it. So I agreed once again, and she did the entire area.

Once it was over, I was so happy that she coached me through it and that I didn't back down and got the whole area done. I realized it was so quick and didn't even hurt that bad, it's just that my mind was making me so nervous and playing tricks on me as I was thinking of the worst. Jess was wonderful with me and I'm sure I was a pain. I also liked the fact that she encouraged me to keep going even when the company would have made out better if I left or got a smaller area done (because I already paid and told her I didn't even care that I would lose out on money). And it was such a cheap deal to begin with!

This was definitely quicker and hurt less than waxing. I wasn't even sore or red after. I am so proud of my self for going through with it and now that I know that it was okay, my next sessions will be a breeze. I am so happy Jessica was so great with handling me because I am such a baby. I can't wait to get the rest of my sessions and be hair free. : )…

Great First Experience!. I got a great deal on Groupon for 6 sessions so I decided to give it a try. I've never had Laser Hair Removal anywhere else before but Jonathan made me feel comfortable right away and answered all my questions (and I had a lot!). Everyone there is so friendly. The procedure itself wasn't bad and only slightly burned afterward for less than 30 minutes. Jonathan talked to me the whole way through to make me comfortable and distract from the pain (which really isn't bad at all, 4 on a scale of 1-10). Even though I've only had 1 session so far, the hair is already 95% gone! I know I have more hair cycles coming my way but I'm looking forward to getting the rest of my sessions!
