Horrible bar and I was hurt by an employee. I will never go here again... The management crossed the line. If I had know the owners of Drinker's was the same management (Four Corners Management) as Lucy's I never would have considered going to Drinkers. This is what happened...

6/26/09 around 10:30 or maybe 11:00 four friends and I went to Drinker's our first stop (no drinking had yet to occur although they had no way of knowing that)... I was the last one in and kind of got separated in the entry way. I handed the bouncer my PA ID (by the way, I am 30 and probably too old for Drinker's anyway, but we needed to meet up with some other friends that were already there before going to a different location) and he proceeded to tell me that he couldn't accept it and needed another form. When I asked why (again I am 30!) he said it was expired. I totally forgot and apologized and handed him my state issued temporary extension (which is good enough for the cops) and my picture card for a new license. He said no that he wouldn't accept it (even though it is a legal document!) so I said fine, I just need to make contact with my friends who were now well into the noisy crowed bar... This power hungry bouncer (the same kind at Lucy's) then started calling me sweetheart and said I was trespassing and needed to leave. I said that I would not enter the bar, but would not leave the entrance until I at least could wave down my friend or make eye contact that I was being denied entry in to the horribly loud, crowded and dirty bar. I did not and do not think that was an unreasonable request and told him to stop calling me sweetheart. I was not drunk (but at the same time he didn't know that) not a threat, and clearly of age and had proven so with my valid ID. He then grabbed my wrist (which is now bruised in the shape of his fingers) and LITERALLY threw me out of the bar (I also have a softball size bruise on my hip). I tried to get him off of me and fight back but all I could do was sp*t (not something I have ever done but I felt extremely threatened) he was too strong and hurting me. No man ever has the right to raise his hand to a woman. My friend just happened to look up and see the whole thing happen and demanded to speak to the manager (who according to their website is named Joe Crouse) and came outside with me... Instead of being professional or even helpful... the manager came outside and started screaming at me asking me and I quote 'do you f*ck your father with that mouth?!" over and over again.

I am a highly educated 30 year old professional and I have never been treated so horribly or seen such lack of professionalism in my life… I will Never Ever go to Drinker’s Pub. Nor will I ever go to one of their other horrible establishments again (which are Drinker’s Tavern, Lucy’s Hat Shop, NoChe, and Loie) See my review for Lucy’s Hat shop to see why I will never go there again either… The behavior of the staff should have tipped me off that it was the same management.

Great Happy Hour Scene!!. Came here with a bunch of co-workers for Happy Hour & had such a great time that I didn't leave until 12am!! Great Happy Hour specials but also a bunch of specials that run all night so amazingly I left Rittenhouse with some money in my pocket. Crowd was fun and there were a bunch of young professionals to talk/flirt with so I was happy!! Jukebox selection was perfect & the menu was simple but satisfying. I will definitely be back to Drinker's in the near future.

horrible. horrible. terrible. it's like an Applebees. they don't serve Yuengling. THEY DON'T SELL YUENGLING! White collar PATCO people in the evening, popped collar PATCO people at night. Even for Chestnut street, this bar stands out as uncommonly lame.

If you go here, leave Center City sometime.

If you're looking for A Great Spot all Weekend come HERE!!. No matter what day I go here there are awesome specials and they have such a fun crowd...no one is taking themselves too seriously and everyone is there to have a good time. I heard that this was a good place to watch Phillies games on Sundays so I checked it out and they have $1 hotdogs and tacos plus cheap pitchers....doesn't get any better then that!!
