Best in Philly.
The Smile Cafe is a quaint, romantic restaurant. I highly recommend it anyone who enjoys great food for a reasonable price. A bottle of Pino and Smile Cafe is an ideal way to start a night in Philly.

Descent food.. We had a descent meal, don't know if I would say more than that about the food. The steak was a bit overcooked in the "make your own" meat and sauce dish. Good noodles. Good service, but seems to do a better take-out service. I would eat here again, but was nothing truly remarkable.
delicious byo!. my friends and i stumbled in here when we couldn't find the restaurant we'd planned to go to and we were all very impressed. the food was amazing and the service was very good. try the pad thai, fish with mango salsa, and bbq chicken. for dessert we had the fried banana with coconut ice cream--soooo good!
Great Thai restaurant. Food is great. It's fusion food between Thai and French. I love it! The place is cozy, relaxing, not too noisy. It's a place that you can go alone and don't feel like being lost in a crowd of people or all the waiters. Wahoo fish & Broken Seas are my favorites! Appetizer menu is also worth trying, like steamed dumpling. You sure will leave the place feeling satisfied and full!
The best Thai restaurant in Philly. This restaurant is my most favorite Thai restaurant in Philly. I go to this restaurant at least once a month. The food and dessert are exceptional. Service is very fast and friendly. My most favorite dish is wahu with a tropical sauce (a sauce with little pieces of mango). This wahu dish is so special for me. It is very fulfilling, healthy, and good for weight watchers. It's a must for desserts here. Creme brulee is the best I've ever had. Also, chocolate mousse and sour-cream-topped cheesecake, very special and satisfying. Although it is a small restaurant, I went to a few birthday parties (about 15 people) at this restaurant. The restaurant owner was so nice. He even decorated the dessert dish we ordered with "Happy Birthday". Highly recommended.
Best Thai in Center City.
Authentic thai food at a very resonable price. Ken, the chef and owner, took the old Amara menu and added his authentic flavor to the dishes. You can taste the use of tamarind in the Pad Thai, whereas most of the Thai restaraunts in the area use a vinegar-based sauce. Ken also asks for your requested level of spice (1-4) and really caters to his guests with specific tastes. Ask for the chilis in fish sauce as a condiment. My order: Chicken with Thai basil sauce (3 level of heat), sticky rice, and Tom Kha Gai as app.
I've been to Thailand and taken cooking lessons, Ken truly adds an authentic flavor to his dishes. I left my meal, fully satisfied and smiling.
Average-below average thai food.. The thai food is very average, at best. Also, the portions were relatively small, and my friend and I went home hungry. Not very recommended.
