DO NOT GO HERE!!!. If you are currently in an anger management program and need wan to pass the final test, go here. I have never made a scene in a café/restaurant before, but my experience at Byblos brought me pretty close. Ridiculous prices, rude staff, bad quality drinks and hookah: overall worst experience I have ever had as a customer anywhere. I will never set foot in here again and would not encourage anyone to do so.

That is of course if you're into having a really bad time and getting frustrated and upset and pissed off and being out into a really horrible mood. My guess is though, that you're not. So DON'T GO!!!!

Just Bad. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO. I had the worst sheehsa (hookah), the worst food and extremely bad experience with the waitress there. The owner or manager almost broke my ID in half when he was checking it! Who cares about your lousy place either accept my ID or ask me before you do anything with it. When we got in the place was so crumbed (too small), so many waitress poorly managed (almost one for each four tables and yet you could hardly get a hold of one), the speakers were too noisy. OK if you have cheap speakers don't push them, staff were rude. the food was garbage (the kind of food I wont even give to my dog) and their sheesha tasted just like charcoal.

I don't know how can some people post good reviews about such a place. coz even if you go to McDonald's in their busiest days the waitress will smile at you and serve you good food (much much batter then the garbage they serve in here and call food), there will also be much more space and you will leave out happy for only 10% of what would you pay here. This place have ruined our night, we paid our bill and went somewhere else in less then 30 minutes.

Bottom line, just go somewhere else, mark all those people who gave positive feedbacks about this place and make sure not to believe or even read their other reviews.

Dirty Rude Dirty Rude. Do not go here!!! There are so many other much better Hookah bars in the city now. I saw a giant Cockroach on the wall and when I told the waitress she was so rude. My drink tasted like crap and our hookah tasted like charcoal. Plus the owner ignores you, doesn't matter how often you patronize. The crowd is ugly Eurotrash. THIS PLACE SUCKS.

fabulous place--better than expected. I wanted to go to a place with good middle-eastern food and hookah for my birthday. After reading the mixed reviews on here, I was a little nervous about taking a chance on Byblos. But I am here to tell you we were very pleasantly surprised. Six of us went out and none of us had been there before. Most of the people in our party had never had middle-eastern food before and no one except my husband and I had done hookah before. So I really didn't know if they would like the place or not. But everyone loved it! Everyone loved their meals and everyone tried the hookah and loved it. The music and ambiance were fantastic. It definitely has a very unique vibe. You have the middle-eastern cuisine, combined with a chic, urban atmosphere and great music, all while still maintaing a feeling of some intimacy with your party. We will definitely be going back. Don't be scared off by the bad reviews. I almost was and I'm glad I took a chance on it.

The owner of Byblos should go to customer service school. We walked into Byblos with some out of town guests and were seated by the waitress. We ordered drinks and appetizers, they came, but 2 min later the waitress told us we had to move our seats immediately. We tried to be accommodating but they tried to squeeze 6 of us into a 4 person booth and crammed 2 chairs in the aisle- which completely blocked the waiters trying to get from one table to the next and hence we had to stand up every few minutes to let them pass. We decided it was too much, asked for the check so that we could move on. The owner then screamed, make them pay for everything (which I think the check for right?) and proceeded to call my girlfriend b*tch and slu t while she paid. Needless to say I am a little confused why the owner reacted so horribly to us when the mistakes were theirs and we tried to make the best of it...besides, it is not like we were taking up a table, there were plenty of empty tables (wonder why!). The owner then started screaming at his waitress who looked very scared. He is abusive and should not be in the business of customer service. Oh, and I hope that he trips, fall on his face, and breaks his nose.
