In Short – The cross-town sister to Old City's signature martini lounge draws crowds with retro decor--booths made from baby-blue vinyl car seats, a sunken dining room with curvy seats and wicker basket chairs hanging from the ceiling. After dark, a more boisterous party set takes over. Each item from the rainbow-decorated menu is meant for sharing, including extra-tall calamari salad, Thai noodles, vegetarian dumplings, lobster mac and cheese, lamb meze and homemade cotton candy.

A girlfriend and I were going to a local performance and just happened to come across the Continental Mid-Town. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly hostess who gladly seated us in a booth by the window. Our server was also very friendly. Miso soup can be ho-hum so I didn't expect much...but they served a generous portion of the BEST miso soup I've ever tasted. We also got the Tempura Tofu and the Crab & Asparagus Crepes which were also delicious. Topped it off with the Chocolate Truffles (a perfect little dessert) and Carrot Cake. Cool atmosphere, hip decor, fun people watching, great location, friendly service, awesome food that was timed very nicely. Reasonably priced for the overall high quality. Bravo. I will definitely go back and bring friends or family.
