Ultra Hair Studio is now in Fairmount and the salon still offers the same personalized service it is known for. I have been a client for years and my experience is consistently excellent. Sharyn is a precision hair cutter and a fantastic colorist. I look forward to my appointments at Ultra. I have fun hanging out, and walk out the door with fantastic hair.

Only salon I'll ever go to ever again!. A couple of weeks ago I went to CHOP SHOP on South Street and had about 10 inches cut off to donate. I was so unhappy with the haircut they gave me... I completely regretted having made the decision to cut my hair at all. I went to Ultra and asked them to do something, ANYTHING, to make me feel better about it. I had been there before one or two times and loved the haircuts I got with my long hair. Sharon was so understanding. She looked at the haircut and said it was a good cut (didn't try to blame the other salon at all) but also understood that even though it was a *good* cut, that if I wasn't happy with it then it just wasn't right for me. Then she told me that the only way she would be able to do anything would be to cut it even shorter, which I had expected. I was sort of nervous to cut it shorter after having such a traumatic experience days before, and Sharon could tell that. She even wanted me to think about it overnight and come back the next day if I definitely wanted to cut it shorter, just so that I wouldn't make another regrettable decision! I had confidence in her though, so I said to go ahead and go shorter. She asked me to explain every area that I didn't like, and went to work. I was 110% happier with my new haircut afterwards! To top it off, Sharon very graciously offered to keep trimming it up for free every week or so until it gets to a length where she can do more with it. She was true to her word and I had my first touch-up this past weekend. I can't wait for my hair to grow back so I can get a real haircut, not just a fixer! I strongly recommend Ultra to anyone who wants an amazing haircut and salon experience without paying over $100 and having expensive products shoved down your throat like many other salons!

*Also wanted to mention that Sharon also is very good at picking her employees. I've had haircuts from two other stylists there when my hair was long and I was equally pleased with the experience.

They appreciate your business and treat you really well. They're warm and welcoming to every client who walks in. No pretensions. Their dogs are adorable. The salon is charming and creativly decorated.

You're supporting an independent business that sincerely cares about its clients, its staff, and its neighborhood. Love it! They also do great hair at reasonable prices!!!!!!!!

Sharon is a stole customers!. Hi! If you are looking for Susan she has been let go by the jerk-off owner! She has taken all of Susan's clients. While Sue was off for six weeks after having surgery. Sharon has told susan not to return and taken all of her clients. Susan is a mother of four children and has had her livelihood stolen from her by this greedy witch.

best cut and color. Sharon has been cutting my hair for 20 years! She does the best color...She has colored my hair black, red, brown and currently I'm a blond (which works great with my grey).

The atmosphere is down to earth and fun. Always great music playing and interesting conversations. Kevin does a great job with the decor. It is also in a great location, if I drive I can normally find street parking within a block away.

Absolutely the best cut and color ever!. I had been going to another salon for years, and was so disappointed when my cut no longer looked fresh. Looking for a new stylist, Kevin was recommended by a friend. He took one look at my hair and said simply, "Let me show you what I think is wrong"...and he did, and more importantly, he gave me what is oh so right. I have the most amazing cut and color and am constantly complimented on the look. Kevin is wonderful. The salon is wonderful. The cut is wonderful. I highly recommend Kevin and this salon. Did I say I love this place? I do. I do. I do.

Mens cuts with an EDGE !. Amazing! This place is booked for weeks for a good reason, they do an amazing job. I had to grab a haircut for a big event and even though she said they were super booked but fit me in THAT DAY. They have a new customer for life.

I had SUSAN cut my hair. Im a guy and I like that she was QUICK and knew how to use the clippers. I have since had many hair cuts with Susan and like it long or short. Check it out. Punk rock girl!

Thank You Kevin!. Just went to Ultra for the first time and I am very happy. I was tired of my sad "mommy ponytail", and was ready for my first short cut in years. First of all, let me just say that my hair is very difficult to cut. I have tons of fine, curly hair and my head is loaded with crazy calics. Kevin took the time for a great personal consult and really delivered with a new look that is flattering and effortless. Thank you Kevin and Salon Ultra!!!

the best haircut you'll ever get. I have gotten my hair cut three times by Sharyn at Ultra. Each time the complements are endless, even months later! She really knows what she's doing (with ALL hair types) and you can trust her to give you a superb cut even if you don't know exactly what you want (I never do). The salon has a laid back, quirky vibe that is a breath of fresh air. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
