My Favorite New Corner Spot!. New to area and loved this small corner BYOB. The italian food was authentic and the staff couldn't have been nicer! My favorite was the pastas and the homemade cheesecake!

Neighborhood hot spot. I love a good BYOB and this place hits the spot. It has everything I love about a neighborhood restaurant: competent, friendly staff; amazing food (the spring rolls and pasta farfalle are a MUST); buzzing conversation; and a warm, relaxed environment. Everytime we have out of town company we try to take them to August. I love the personal touch added by the owners - each menu has a different picture taken by the owners and staff.

Making reservations is a good idea. Because its so popular there is ALWAYS a crowd. If you're not into elbow to elbow seating, skip it. This place is your typical cozy, one room BYOB.

Nothing compares to AUGUST! 10 stars Always a good meal Consistantly consistant!. Incredible food! Everything is cooked masterfully to perfection. EVERYTHING! We have been there so often Everything is our favorite. Just don't miss the bread pudding. YUM

EXCELLANT FOOD, EXCELLANT SERVICE. I WAS HEARING SO MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE, AND I FINALLY GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRY IT OUT. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND SO WAS THE SERVICE. IT WAS A WARM AND COSY PLACE, IT HAS GREAT ATMOSPHERE. I KNOW I WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK.

We do not charge for bread at august !. I am very glad to hear you enjoyed the restaurant and I'm sorry you thought you were charged for bread but we do not charge for bread at august. You were charged for bread pudding that was ordered for dessert. Sorry for the confusion.

$7 bread. Food was great (we both had the gnocchi), waitress was friendly, prices are reasonable, except.... I asked for some more bread with our meal and we were charged $7!! For a tiny loaf of bread (maybe 4 slices).... craziness.

mediocre meal. My friend and I went to August this past weekend. This was my third time thre, and everything was just ok--the food is consistently average, but they offer enough selection to ensure something for everyone. Its never a good sign if every time you go to a little place like this there are different servers.

Loved It Twice!!. Well I must say that we enjoyed August even more the second time around. I thought they were great the first time I was there a few months ago and was fully prepared to be disappoined (this is normally how it goes) on the second visit. To our delight it was fantastic. There were 6 of us and not a complaint in the bunch. We are all still talking about how great the food is as well as the staff who could not have been more accomodating, especially as one of my companions was in a leg cast and on crutches. Every effort was made to make him feel comfortable without bothering anyone else. I had to chuckle at the nasty review from a while ago that complained about trying to change the number of people from 6 to 7, like it's no big deal. Having worked in the restaurant business for many years I know that it is a big deal and I can't imagine after the kindness that the August staff showed us that they would not have made every effort to resolve an impossible situation. I do know that each of us will go back again and again.

a find to be treasured. Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed the evening of Aug 10th . Their food was delicious, portions ample. The ambiance is delightful and the service from a beautiful Russian born college student was excellent.
