In Short – Wood floors and modern decor constructed from blue blown-glass bottle lamps and cool, curvy glass display cases, make this Italian-style gelateria a hangout for Europeans and wannabes. It's a bright spot on a street that's gradually being brought back to life. The use of fresh, local ingredients make the unusual flavors shine, although the cost (close to $5 for a small size) may give you pause.
The best in the city!! and maybe even anywhere on this coast

Amazing and creative. Every season brings in new flavors and new combinations to try out.
I love their variety of local and imported products, especially mixing it with liquor.
My absolute favorites are Cilantro/Lime, Mint/Pineapple, Mojito, Scurro chocolate and Grapefruit Campari.
All other flavors are still just as amazing. Not so sure about the avocado,, but hey everyone has their special needs.
My favorite Autumn combo is Acorn Squash and Chocolate/Ginger.
My only wish is that if they will charge such high prices, I wish they could offer a frequent dining card or some sort of specials now and then.
My wallet is hurting!
- Pros: Creative and soo delcious!
- Cons: Expensive, should offer something special for frequent customers
Not amazing, but worth a trip

The gelati are good, but not the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a decent scoop, try this place out, but don't expect to be blown away.
- Pros: good
- Cons: expensive for what it is
Best Gelato in Philly!

Sooo good. This stuff will make you fat! The flavors are plentiful with so many seasonal choices. I had Tirimusu and choc-banana mixed. Yes, it is pircey at $4.50 for a small; but well worth it. Very nice for an occasional treat!
- Pros: Gelato, Good service, free samples of flavors so you can try b/f you buy
- Cons: Price
The Details on Capogiro Gelateria
Save Money:
If you're light in the wallet, you can get a mini-serving, which still allows you room to taste two varieties.
When to Go:
Weather permitting, you can people-watch from an outdoor table.
Know Before You Go:
Gelato has less calories than ice cream, as it's made from milk, not cream. Also, there's less air whipped into it and it's kept at a higher temperature than ice cream, giving it that concentrated, melt-in-your mouth appeal.
