nearly a year later & appreciated even more!

I wanted to take the time to let everyone out there who loves buying and gifting jewelry that there is an extraordinarily fantastic jewelry store downtown on Samsom Street called Max Weiner Gemologist that goes far above and beyond to accommodate and please what you “want”.

My husband first purchased our engagement ring there, and told me explicitly that because of their exceptional attention to his desires on what “look” he wanted the ring to be that we were definitely going there for our wedding rings. What an experience it was to get such committed, individualized attention to the designing of our wedding rings. Everyone there, Max, Will, and Alisha all contribute to a relaxing and comfortable environment at a time in your life when all of your other wedding details are “getting” to you. I wanted a unique design for our wedding rings.. Even though I drew it up, I had a hard time explaining “the look” that I hoped to get. I meet with them, and they did a computer simulation for us to show us what the rings would look like before they even start to make them. As I said, I don’t think I was doing a good job of explaining what I wanted the rings to look like so the computer simulation got my ring right, but my husband’s wasn’t. I got a sinking feeling because it was getting very close to the wedding date that the design I hoped for wasn’t going to work out. THEY didn’t want me to settle on “the look” of my husband’s ring if it didn’t have the look I wanted, so they asked me to come in again so that they WOULD understand, no matter what, and assured me they would not stop until the design of our wedding rings were exactly as I wanted. They did what they promised, they got them exactly right!!! Plus we wanted to have a bible verse inscribed on the exterior portion on the part of the band that shows when you turn your hand over. They told me that they could do it but that over time it might wear away. Almost a year later and the inscriptions on both of our rings look the same as the day that they were done. We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary June 12, and it has taken me this long to write this rave review for Max Weiner because I wanted to take the time and see how I felt about our “experience” Max Weiner Jewelry, after the fact, after all the wedding hoopla fades. I have to say in writing this review my appreciation has grown even greater for all that they did for us. That was a crazy, chaotic time as every married couple knows, and Max Weiner provided the “stability and assuredness that it their part WOULD BE handled correctly” no matter what. They provided the piece of mind that their part would be “no worries” which every engaged couple craves to hear in planning their wedding. I think back, and say to myself, you know how many jewelers would have pushed me to settle on the look that I wanted for our wedding weddings to only tell me that I expected too much. No one at Max Weiner did or even made me feel like I was asking for too much! They seemed to address my special design for our weddings as if it was “business as usual” to them! I cannot thank Max Weiner enough for providing us with such superb customer service, attention and follow through of every detail, reasonable prices, and the most outstanding workmanship that shines through in all of their jewelry!

Best place for an engagement ring!!!!

Great store, great service!! I went to a few jewelry stores along jewelers row and a few in the mall. Didnt really have a clue on what i was looking at, but when i went to Max Weiners, Will explained everything about diamonds and what to look for. I told him how much i wanted to spend and showed him a picture of something i was interested in. He did not have anything in the store like that, so he had the ring custom made. It turned out better than expected and was right in the middle of my price range. Most importantly, my girlfriend (now fiance) is very happy with it. I highly recommend Max Weiner to anybody looking for any type of jewelry, especially an engagement ring. Needless to say, we will be returning for our wedding bands with in the next few months.

a great jewelery store

When I started looking for an engagement ring I read reviews of stores on Jewelers Row online. I went to Max's because he had all positive reviews and I was very satisfied as well. Very nice staff--I told them my budget and they did a great job of helping me find something beautiful for a little less. And my fiance loves it as well. I'll be happy to go back for wedding bands and other jewelery in the future.

Guys, going to get engaged, This is where you go

I recently proposed to my girlfriend in Mexico. I bought a "temp" ring until I could get the one she wanted. I know NOTHING about diamonds or rings. I was nervous about buying the "right" ring until I walked into Max's and met Max, Ben and Rich. Ben walked me through what makes a beautiful diamond and ring step by step. Although my questions were dumb, he responded in the most kind and gentle manor. He asked what my budget was and helped to select rings that were within that range that were amazing. I was taught that any diamond can be mounted onto any setting. Rich then helped to select a ring that was perfect. After we finished the sale he took me aside and recommended different insurance companies and gave me his contact number in case I have any more questions. The ring was ready within 48 hours. Max had his jeweler mount, clean and polish it in 2 days time. He then called to let me know it was ready ahead of time. When I walked in to the shop, to pick up the ring, I was greeted by Max and Ben by name. They said “Welcome back Mr. Smith, wait until you see your ring.” Ben asked me to close my eyes so I would be surprised when I see the ring. When I opened the box it seemed as if the ring had gotten bigger and brighter. It was PERFECT. Max came over to look and said how happy my girl will be when she sees the ring.

This was like visiting a jeweler that you have known for 20 years. Max, Rich and Ben just went so far out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect. They gave me contact information in case I needed to talk. They had the appraisal ready for me on my return. They just...make you feel like they are on your side. When I commented on how involved they were in this ring purchase, I was told over and over again that they want me to go home and impress the hell out of her. The last thing they said to me when I was leaving that makes me want to come back for Christmas was when Max, Ben and Rich said "Be sure to call us and let us know what she said." This was the personal touch that you will not find in other jewelry stores unless it is written on a index card. These guys speak from the heart and treat you like they have known you for years. Oh yes, I have not stopped staring at the ring I bought for 12 hours now.

You took a nervous, uninformed, rube and made me feel confident that I got one of the best rings on the planet to go with my girl who is the best woman on the planet.

Only place I will ever go again.

We went to Max Weiner for our engagement amd wedding rings. Max was GREAT! He was honest about everything, his prices were great, he had a lot of helpful suggestions, and the rings were absoulutley beautiful! I highly recommend Max, this is the first time I've ever left a jewelry store completely satisfied and not wondering if I could have done better elsewhere.
