In Short – The fourth in a chain of working-class sports bars, this vast pub packs in super fans seven nights a week. What Chickie's lacks in atmosphere (flat-screen TVs, Coors banners and a no free-refills policy), its patrons make up in spirit. The self-proclaimed inventor of Old Bay-dusted crab fries prides itself on messy eating. Cutlet sandwiches, Wiz-stuffed poppers, hit-or-miss wings, mussels and hot roast beef are customer favorites. Still, count on paying top-dollar for over-seasoned hardshells.

WORST. SERVICE. EVER

by Dogluvr134

Wow- really? what's with all the hype- I have been to all Chickie n Petes locations and asside from the occasional good service at Robbins...I always have terrible service!! The waitress takes your order about 20 minutes after you are seated (god forbid 1 person in your party is stuck at the light you need to wait for them to be seated..what a joke!), then NEVER returns! When eating thoes salty crab fries you need something to drink to wash it down...I sucked on an ice cube for a half an hour! the are complete idoits! I myself have been in the service industry and never stiff on the tip but it burns me to even tip the usual %- Stop throwing food onto my table and never returing until you wanna get paid!- I may sound disgruntled but I can assure you I am not the only one who has had this happend to them

  • Pros: nothing really
  • Cons: bad service- treated like cattle

Towing Scam @ Chickie and Petes Stadium Area -

by CSMobileUser

Carry Cash - $200 and a cab company phone listing next time you visit. Spent the afternoon at Chickie and Petes and made the mistake of coming out and getting a hoagie to go from across the street. That's all the needed to have George Smith car jack my truck. Pete, can I get my tip back I left on the bar? Boo to the city for letting this go on. Boo to Chickie and Petes for letting it happen over and over to its' patrons.

Anybody seen my Car?

by kevinmau

Pregame meal at Chickies and Petes for the Family-$109

Grabbing 'to go' homemade cookies from the deli directly across the street for the game - $5.49

Cab to car impound - and back w/tip - $30

hotel room required due to limited impound hours - $149

missed Phillies game, tickets - $ 196

cab to hotel and back to impound next morning - $76

impound and towing fees - $190

Finding your car towed from Chickies and Petes and supporting the local crackhead spotters receiving kickbacks from Smith towing - Priceless

Hey, if Chickies and Petes provides preprinted impound directions to hand to the cabbie, a steady stream of tow trucks pass every ten minutes, cash only accepted, and the impound looks like a hell scene from the Wiz, something is fishy. Better off avoiding Chickies and Petes and going directly to the game.

  • Pros: Bartenders
