Great date place <3. My boyfriend and I had our fist date here, what a great date spot! I was really nervous about the date, but the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing and that really helped me let go a little. The piano player was great, he knew every song I requested and was very entertaining. Now it's our special spot, even though we don't get the chance to visit as often as we would like. I would highly reccommend this place to anyone but especially if you're going on a date and not too sure what to do.

Who needs Steve O da whatever his name is. I love this place...with or without Steve O. I like the variety that steve brought but he wasnt the only reason to go there, plus he's a pretty terrible singer. When I actually wanted to hear piano music I never went on a Steve O night, i would prefer to hear someone who actually knows how to sing, like Stu. He's great and does a fine job at making his voice sound like whoever it is he's singing.

I don't think Steve O 'made the piano bar.' I've never had a bad time there, if you're not particularly into the piano player, the bartender always entertains me.....and the drinks are always so delicious!

This is the type of "everyone knows your name" bar and I LOVE IT!!!!! It's so easy to make new friends at the paino bar, and when i go i feel free to just let go and unwind. Steve O or not, I will always be a fan!

Steve is gone as of yesterday supposedly. We went to see the Steve show yesterday, and apparently, he is gone.

And, as a result, so are we.

Good riddance. Only reason we would ever set foot in there anyway.

Only one player is worth seeing. Cheesy otherwise. This is a review for Cascamorto (as there is no Jolly's or Redhead anymore). Place is overpriced. The kitchen is only open sporadically. The pianists are for the most part, run-of-the-mill, standard piano stuff.

Wed nights and an occasional Fri or Sat night, you get to see Steve Odbashian. That guy knocks it out of the park every time. Plays anything you want pretty much, and is 100 times more entertaining than the usual run-of-the-mill guys they normally put tout there. But, he is hardly ever playing. If he's not there, keep on walking. Nothing to write home about.

This place is a mess. Sometimes there is no one even watching the bar. Check it out on Fridays for happy hour, or find out when Steve is playing. OTherwise, I would just as soon stay the hell away.

Old News and New News. That place closed years ago. It was great but the PIano Bar on 20th is a lot better. I've been there, on different occasions to check out who plays each night and I agree that the dude who wrote about Stu Shames doesn't know what he's talking about. Stu probably ticked him off and he wrote a bunch of bad reviews in different places on the net. I've seen the same review posted a few times. Stu rocks! He's the best player in town.

the gift that is Stu Shames. I don't normally write reviews. But, seeing the disparraging comments below, I just had to add my two cents.

While we like the entire staff at Coscamorto, we go to see Stu. We aren't much into the bar scene. I personally find noisy/rowdy crowds to be very draining. And I would agree with the comment that the prices on drinks are a bit steep. But, Stu is well worth the sacrifice on any level. We try to get there any time we're in town if he's playing.

Stu Shames is a brilliant musician who draws in everyone in the place...often in spite of themselves. I've seen him turn obnoxious patrons into teddy bears simply by turning their own comments back at them until they surrender and allow themself to relax and have fun. As for his selection, I can't think of anyone I've ever seen who has a larger one. Stu can go from a quiet love song to a rip roaring romp with no trouble at all. I've heard him play numbers from the 50s right up until present day tunes and everything in between...numbers that include rock and roll, jazz, blues, etc. If there's any weakness at all, it's in the fact that many of the regular patrons insist on his playing the same things week after week. Go in on a more quiet night and you'll learn to appreciate this amazing talent when he gets to play more of a variety. Or better yet, go in on a busy Saturday and drop in a twenty for him to select his own choice. You won't be disappointed.

If you enjoy the bar scene and having a good time, stop in any Thursday or Saturday when Stu is playing and you're guaranteed a great time! I wish we had him around here!!!

Stu Shames at Cascamorto - Class Act!. I have no idea who those gentlemen saw on the particular night they were at Cascamorto, but that is not the Stu that my friends and I come to see nearly every week. I have never heard him sing depressing Vietnam ballads. On the contrary, Stu keeps the audience so high on Saturday nights that they don't want him to leave by closing time. I found his repertoire to be extremely eclectic and he never lets us down. In my opinion, he is a true artist and might just be one of the best pianists I have ever heard. His humor is cutting and sarcastic but that's what people come to see. They know it's all in fun.

Bartenders are also terrific and the atmosphere of the place is friendly and classy. My advice is that the previous 'critics' check it out again and make sure the piano player that night is really Stu Shames. In my book, Stu is nothing short of a Class Act!

Cascamorto- bartenders charming and fun; piano player boring and rude. I loved the cool adjustable seats that you can sit tall and spin around on (very comfy too). You can also sit in the back where it is cozy and lounge like, or at the bar to swoon over the oh so full of himself piano player- Stu. The bartenders were exceptionally friendly and set the tone for a "where everybody knows your name" vibe. Unfortunately, the piano player "Stu" ruined it for them. He had a limited song repertoire (think St. Patty's day at a fraternity/sorority party), and his attempts to be funny were flat and/or jerky. The crowd was okay. Pickup lines from the gents included: "Don't I know you? Where did you go to school?" (Trust me I was not in accounting at Temple) and "Your shirt strap is twisted. Let me help you with it." I would try this joint again, hoping for a more vibrant and eclectic piano player, as the service and seating made up for everything else.

You need to pick your nights at Cascomorto. The Cascamorto Piano bar was nice. They have several different piano players. We had the bad fortune of seeing the same one twice- Stu Shames. Stu doesn't so much knock out a tune as he beats the piano into submission until it screams for mercy. Not a pretty sound. In between songs, his caustic attempts at humor range from boring to offensive. But the worst part was his choice of songs. A funereal anti-Vietnam war ditty that just brought down the evening. Stu, how about a C, a bouncy, bouncy C? The bar itself and the format are nice though. We will try it again when another piano player appears.

Steve at Cascamorto. What night is Stu there? I recommend the Steve show if you can get out of work a little early on a Friday. That guys is a riot. Ask for Outkast. The rap needs work. But who cares? The fact that he is playing outkast is good enough for me. Plays straight through, and when he takes a break it's for like 90 seconds. I thinkg Friday is his only night/day.
