A HIDDEN GEM. I LOVE THE FOOD HERE, GREAT PORTIONS, VERY GOOD SERVICE! I RECENTLY HAD THE SAUSAGE AND FIG DISH THAT THE WAITER (MARK) SAID PEOPLE RAVED ABOUT. HE WAS CORRECT IT IS ONE OF THE MOST TASTY DISHES I EVER HAD. HE ALSO TOLD ME TO TRY THE STUFFED GRILLED FIGS, THEY WERE EVEN BETTER STUFFED WITH GORGAZOLE CHEESE AND WRAPED WITH PROSIUTTO. FOR DINNER I HAD A VEAL CHOP ITALIANO IT WAS BETTER THAN ANY CENTER CITY STEAK HOUSE'S MEATS. FOR DESERT I TRIED PANICOTTA HOMEMADE, IT WAS WONDERFUL. THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM IN MY BOOK. SCANNICCHIO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!

ANOTHER CLASSIC S. PHILLY ESTABLISHMENT. Scannicchio's typifies what a South Philly Eatery should be - homey, friendly, generous and fun. The BYOB aspect is a plus and the servers cheerfully chilled and opened the multiple bottles we brought. I heard the salutation "Hon" at least 4 times from our server who reminded me of a cross between my Aunt Bubbles and my cousin Gina - and that's a good thing!. The red gravy is excellent , the meat dishes are gigantic and the 7 fish pasta dish is like your own ocean. But, be careful some of the items & specials are not cheap by South Philly standards. After your feast, head around the corner to the Rosewood bar for a nightcap with the gritty but warm locals.

good food. We have eaten here a couple of times and each time enjoyed our meal. The service is not great but it is friendly.

exquisite. I dined here with friends from out of town recently.We all left very happy can't wait to go back.

It was truly a pleasureable dining experience.The veal marsala was the best I ever had.And you could actually cut the veal with your fork.The service top notch.The dish one of my friends had was a 7 fish dinner loaded with alot of fresh seafood

in a tasty fresh marinara over pasta.It could serve 2.Prices were very reasonable.

MUST TRY. I HAVE TRIED THIS PLACE SEVERAL TIMES WITH FRIENDS, THE FOOD AND SERVICE ARE VERY GOOD. BYOB. A MUST TRY PLACE.
