Keep your cell phone off the table!!!!. Great food and great service!!! I make sure i keep my cell phone in my pocket and on vibrate!!! Them things are so annoying!

Awful Customer Service Experience. Absolutely awful customer service experience. Went for dinner to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday evening. Left my BlackBerry on the table in case the babysitter called. Waitress spilled water on my BlackBerry, which ruined the touch screen. I needed to purchase a new phone and called the restaurant to see what they will do for me because I was out $169. NOTHING but be RUDE!!!! The manager told me that I should have had insurance and he doesn't know what happened after I left the restaurant. Got blown off by the owner but finally got him on the phone. Yelled at me that my phone shouldn't have been on the table, and that he didn't spill water on it so he wasn't doing anything. Told me I was free to take it up with the waitress. As her employer, I stated that was his responsibility but he didn't seem to care. If they spilled food on my clothing, they would pay for dry cleaning, but a phone isn't the same to them. Good food, but there are plenty of other Italian BYOB with good food and better customer service.

Best Italian food in Philly. I have been a regular in the AC restaurant for years and when the sister restaurant opened in S. Philly I still could not stay away. Chrisitian is by far one of the best chef's and KUDOS to him and the staff. Ask for Mark when arriving. You will return over and over again. Small but intimate.

My favorite local BYOB. This is by far my favorite BYOB Italian Restaurant in South Philly. I am a local and have been going here for years. The food is delicious and nice big portions. The service is great, you feel welcomed the minute you walk in the door. Sometimes its hard to get a reservation as the place is very small with limited tables, but totally worth going!! Can't wait to go back.

GREAT FOOD,SERVICE,LARGE PORTIONS. I have dined here on several occasions in the past few weeks. I have taken different clients here and not one was disappointed. First off i had the same server MARK every time I was there, he remembered me every time i walked in.His service was consistent and prompt on all occasions. He is very knowledgeable of the food,and recites the specials and deserts in a way that makes your mouth water. A couple of the dishes I had were the pork chop Italiano.veal picante,and tripe.I love all of them. My clients loved the sausage and figs,whole stuffed artichoke,mussels and clams in a white wine broth ,and the grilled romaine salad to name a few. For desert I loved the tiramisu,and the mud pie.I topped it off with a fresh brewed espresso and a homemade limoncello that scannicchio gives to all patrons.I will be back and This is a must place to go to in South Philly.

Just plain AMAZING!!!!. Amongst the Italian neighborhood of South Philly, its is sometimes intimidating to select a place from the masses to have a relaxed but well rounded meal.

I have to say -- look no further! Scannicchio's leaves NOTHING more to be desired.

We went on a slightly slow Friday evening... called ahead and just from the phone call, knew that the service would be very friendly. I was greeted with kind words and friendly personas -- which is very hard to find in the restraunt business these days!

We ordered the Bruschetta, the Calamari, the Alfredo and Lobster and Shrimp Fra Diavlo. All of which were made to perfection --- and these are dishes we are quite familar with! I would say, the best I've ever had.

Between the service, the food, the prices and the ambiance, hands down one of the best dinners I have ever had -- In philly and OUT!

If you don't eat here, you are just plain crazy!

Just don't forget a good bottle of wine to put the icing on the cake!

Great Anytime. I have gone on several occasions, and whether it is Valentine's Day or a Sunday night, it is great. Extremely nice staff, great food, quite atmosphere makes for a great night. And who doesn't love a B.Y.O.B. I love going there.

Awesome South Philly BYOB. This is my husband's and my favorite Italian restaurant. We've been several times, and every meal has been perfect. The seafood appetizers and entrees in particular are delicious. Make sure to get a reservation, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

Disappointed with ignorance.... When this establishment first opened, I had a very good meal in the opening month. I decided to go back with several co-workers who wanted to experience a TRUE "south philly" experience with good food and friendly service. They were sadly disappointed with the way the staff including, what I am guessing was the "head guy"? As we were eating we overheard him barking orders to our server to make sure we were done. It seems that his "cousin's" or whomever were coming in later that evening. We barely finished our food as he kept glancing to see our status. I will never eat there again nor will my family, friends, etc.

OUTSTANDING. THE FOOD AND SERVICE HERE AT SCANNICCHIOS IS INPECABLE, I HAVE BEEN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT LEAST 5 TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR. BIG PORTIONS, FRIENDLY FAMILY SERVICE AND GREAT FOOD HAS BROUGHT ME BACK. I NEVER FEEL RUSHED, I ALWAYS ENJOY MY EXPERIENCE. I LOVE WHEN THEY HAVE A VEAL CHOP SPECIAL,OVER BROCLI RABI. I LOVE THE SAUSAGE AND FIGS FOR MY FIRST COURSE,THEN I GET A MISTA SALAD, ANY VEAL DISH OR PASTA DISH I HAD WERE GREAT. THE DESERTS ARE TO DIE FOR OUR SERVER RECITED OVER 14 DESERTS. I LIKE THE LEMONCHELLO GELATO, OR THE CARMEL APPLE CHEESE CAKE. SAVE ROOM FOR DESERT WHEN YOU DINE HERE. ENJOY YOUR MEAL!! ALSO THIS IS A GREAT ESTABLISHMENT TO GO TO WITH FRIENDS BEFOR A CONCERT OR SPORTING EVENT. ITS SECONDS AWAY FROM THE SPORTS COMPLEX.
