Don't come here!.
I agree with Kcila.
I hate to mention it because we want it all to ourselves.
Hidden away with a real down to earth crowd.
A minimal amount of tools and yuppies.
Cheap booze. Good Bartenders.
It's awesome. But keep to your own hood.

I feel bad even writing a review of this bar.... It'll ruin it's cool obscurity. A gem of a Fishtown dive, El Bar is a great place to take suburban friends to test their mettle. The interior is a pretty standard Fishtown dive bar, but it's exterior is almost comically "gritty urban". It's a hole in the wall underneath the El in a pretty derelict section of Frankford. It's actually a pretty cool place- it even occasionally has Rockabilly shows! Cheap (city wide special), has a pool table and allows smoking. That'd be enough to sell me.
