Big disappointment.
We had high hopes for this Ecuadorian restaurant and couldn't wait to introduce our friends and colleagues to this branch of Latin favor. It's a good thing we decided to try it before bringing a big group because Sabor Latino was a big let-down. The fact that We were the only guests on a balmy Thursday evening already lowered our expectations, but we were still hugely disappointed that all the meat dishes were over-cooked and all the sauces were one-dimentional. The carne asada was particularly tough and flavorless. The empanadas were probably from frozen. The mango shake had barely a hint of mango. I could go on. On the plus side, the service was okay, the portions were adequate, and the parking was not as bad as everyone said it would be.

I was told by the waitresses that you were unhappy because we not longer were accepting discount coupons from restaurantcom So I was checking to see if you have any complains about our food. I hear not a word from you. When I went to check the dishes there was not leftovers either. So I find very hard to understand that you had all those issues with our food and at the same time you eat all of it. Please be honest with yourself

pleasant surprise.
I love this place. They offer a a good range of cuisines, with a few delicious vegetarian options. Where else in the area are you going to find Yucca on a menu, and it not be an outrageously overpriced restaurant? I LOVE the sweet plantains and fried cheese. It's been too long, i have to go back soon!

Flavor to savor.
The good news ... I brought home leftovers. The bad news ... there wasn't any live music. Sabor Latino was a delightful find for a pre-concert dinner. The food offerings cover Ecuador, Cuba, Mexico and Columbia. Plenty of choices for a variety of tastes. Our waitress was a very sweet woman who had minimal knowledge of English. I think that was part of the fun. I was looking forward to a little latin jazz with dinner, but a notice was posted that the entertainment was not able to perform that night. The setting has a bit of a deli look to it, but don't let that stop you from going in. Truly a gem that sparkles.

Authentic Cuisine, Great Price.
Sabor Latino is one of the true hidden jewels of Latino American Cuisine in Philadelphia. The food is excellent, authentic, and savory, and the prices are great! The 'seat yourself wherever there's an open table' policy and the BYOB option make for a very comfortable down-home feel (they recently obtained a liquor license, so don't worry if you run out!).
