Love the happy hour specials!. The pizza is pretty good and it's half-off during happy hour! It's an awesome deal! Even during their busier times, I've never had to wait very long for my food. Seating is prompt and the staff is generally friendly. It's a great affordable place to dine and especially convienent for students but defintiely not a sleezy place by any means. They are also very accomodating of larger groups...although I once made a reservation for a large party and was asked to reconfirm the number so that they could set up for it. When we got there, there were two groups of people in the area that they claimed would be reserved for us so that was a little disappointing but they were very patient with us.

No need to go further than the bar. Great place overall. If you're Drexel affiliated you already know or are definitely missing out. If you know Penn a bit better, get a breath of fresh air over here. The brother bartenders are a damn good friend any day of the week; don't forget Bart on Thursdays!

NOT a college hangout!. Don't let the bad location stop you from going. I finally went for drinks/appetizers last spring, after always refusing to go for worry that it was super expensive or a college hang out. The bartender was friendly and conversational, the drinks generous, and the appetizers tasty. I went with a medium size group and they were more than accommodating, and I've known people who have had very large groups there and had a great time.

great happy hour. Decent specials on wine, 2$ domestic drafts and free pizza appetizers make this a great happy hour spot. The pizza is excellent, as are their salads. i would eat lunch here all the time if it were closer to my office~ but probably a little casual to be a good date dinner spot.

Great al fresco dining!. Since they fired the old manager this place has taken off. Stopped by today to discover that they'd had an electrical fire and were shut down till late June. I spoke with the owner, Joseph Scarpa, who told me they were doing a complete redo on the interior.

Excellent Experience!. I ate there on several occasions after early dismissals waiting for my ride and found the service immediate, attentive and cordial. The food was surprisingly good for the value and the ambience is nice. I did have to call my waiter for the check, but overall, the experience makes me return again and again. Also, the chocolate martinis are the BOMB!

WORST RESTAURANT EVER!!! POORLY MANAGED.. Don't waste your time going to Ecco Qui!!! The service is poor and the management staff is rude. During happy hour we were offended when the manager asked us to move since he apparently "reserved" the table for another party and refused to find us alternate seating. In addition, the manager didn't like the way we were positioned around the table and asked us to "squeeze in" since five of us were seated at a four-person table. We had a discrepancy on the bill and instead of explaining the charges the manager/owner just sat at a nearby table eating their dinner. When we demanded the bill be changed, the owner said we were "ruining his dinner" and asked us to leave. After exiting the building we were threatened by the owner. I suggest you eat somewhere else in University City like New Deck Tavern.

That guy was having a bad day.... Delicious food at reasonable prices. It is quiant and romantic. Nice bar, service is usually just fine. Open Kitchen, and not too busy, being sort of off the beaten path. Then gnocci special is excelent. Near by Drexel and UPenn, so if you are taking a girl out, but don't want to burn a terrible hole in your pocket, this place is perfect.

If you're wrong, admit it!. Don't go! Mc Donalds has better service and management! Our waitress was REALLY inexperienced and made several mistakes. Unfortunately the management was slow to correct them. In addition, when I said that I had had an unpleasant experience, the manager implied that I was wrong and that the reasons that I was unhappy were either wrong or stupid. A simple "We're sorry and we'll work hard to fix that," would have changed the entire evening. Instead I will now be advising all of my friends (and City Guide readers) of the terrible experience that I had there.
