not a place for a romantic dinner. When you first walk in it has a night club feel, the tables are to close together for any romance and the music is too loud. The food was just ok the service was the best part. I would try someplace else for a romantic dinner.…
Great Value for price for lunch...can also get in and out, in good time ,for a lunch break.. I went to Solefood the other day with a few co-workers to check out their lunch. WOW, I was blown away. For starters we walked in with no reservation and were sat right away, even with a very busy diing room. Our server, don't remember her name, but she was GREAT! Lots of great specials and a wide variety of sandwiches & salads. She recommended the "lunch box" which is like a sampling of 4 items, the soup of the day, a special salad, sweet potato chips and a half of a sandwich. My sandwich that day was sirloin tips with caramelized onions and blue cheese on brioche...a"philly cheesesteak" with a twist. Fabulous!! My friend had the crabcake sandwich (yummy) and my other friend had the chilean sea bass (even yummier). We'll be back, no doubt about it...and with more friends. Cocktails the next time!!…
Solefood is the spot. I went to Solefood for happy hour with my friends from work. Their drinks, 3$ appetizers, and bar staff was wonderful. When the bartender spilled my drink on the Bar, I think his name was Billy, he gave me a replacement, now THATS service. There seems to be lots of energy in the lounge, with the music complimenting the atmosphere. It seems like this is the place to see and be seen by local Philadelphians. Later we decided to get a table in the dining room, and we were again surpised by the food quality. The "Sole" was outstanding, topped with jumbo lobster meat, and garnished with caviar. Great value for price!…
Great Happy Hour and Terrific Food. I went to Sole Food in the Loews Hotel the other night with some co-workers at around 6:00. I arrived to find out that they were having happy hour. All of the martinis were under $6.00, as well as there complete list of specialty cocktails. They also had $3.00 appetizers. I had the Tuna Tartar, which was amazing, the same as there dinner menu which costs $14.00 in the dining room. There were candles all over the room and great lounge music playing. The crowd was all having fun and drinking, and it wasnt too crowded. I would definetly come back, especially for there HAPPY HOUR......Great lounge staff also.. They recomended I try the dining room so I will be back to have dinner there next time....…
