SPA EXPERIENCE OF LIFE!!. Mere words cannot express how I felt about my spa experience at Spa Bavu. It has the perfect ambiance to relax and let go of the stress you may have walked in with and did I mention the service was impeccable! Diana gave my massage and I've had many massages from many spas....they don't hold a candle to what Diana can do. I must admit I was a little skeptical when I walked in and saw this small woman. It wasn't until after my massage that I had to take a second look at her because I wanted to know where did all that strength come from, lol....she has the most well defined muscular arms that can work out any brick laden muscle in your back. We haven't even talked about the facial that was incredible too (my face felt like silk)....I could go on and on but you need to go see for yourself. I've told everyone that I could and have suggested to a few friends what they should get for their wives if they really want some brownie points. The location of the spa is easy to access from public transportation and there's a parking lot and street parking around the spa. Diana and Spa Bavu will see me on a monthly basis from here on out!

The BEST spa experience. In honor of a belated Valentine's Day gift I treated my boyfriend and of course myself to a full body massage at Spa Bavu. Before we arrived at our appointment we were both stressed. I had left work in a hurry, we were unable to flag a cab and were left with 10 minutes to make it on time. Feeling the pressures of a LONG work week along with transportation issues there was tension between us.

As soon as we entered the spa, Cynthia and Diane greeted us with a warm hello. The aroma and music of the room combined with the charasmatic personalities of the sisters quickly put us at ease. My boyfriend and I both had been to spas before Bavu but nothing was as personable, professional and charming.

Diane gave me the BEST Zito (Swedish) massage EVER. By the time she was done with me I had no recollection of what stress meant. I was refreshed, released from all negative energy and was floating on cloud 9. (Goodness gracious bless those hands!) My boyfriend was given a deep tissue massage by another therapist (I can't remember her name) and walked out of the room looking and feeling revitalized. He too enjoyed the experience and spoke highly of the service.

After the massage we were both hungry and asked Diane and Cynthia for dining recommendations in the area. They couldn't have been more real. They suggested a great Asian fusion restaurant and we took them up on the recommendation. We parted from Diane and Cynthia with hugs and a million thank-you's. Thanks to the massages and the dinner recommendation, my boyfriend and I were able turn a stressful night into a great Friday evening.

So, if you're looking for great service and are ready for the best spa exprience, I suggest you call Cynthia and she will hook you up!

Relaxation Headquarters. Having worked at different spas for the past 10 years and being a spa junkie as well, I continue to find myself delighted with each visit to Bavu. From the moment you enter the small intimate waiting area you are treated to a sense of calm and exotic aroma. You find yourself breathing more deeply and relaxing automatically. Cynthia the spa manager who calls everyone "Miss" evokes a feeling from your childhood of gentility when ladies attended Sunday afternoon tea and men tipped their hats. She is a very warm compassionate woman who manages to somehow charm, answer the phone, prepare tea(in the largest cups I've ever seen) and generally handle her business without a flurry. The technician du jour is Diana-one of the funniest most personable women I've ever met who CONSISTENTLY delivers one of the best massages I've ever had in my life! Aside from naturally 'good hands' she had a thorough understanding of physiology that allows her to delve deeply into more complex body issues. No 'buff and fluff' stuff happening here! I have recommended this spa to everyone I know and will continue to do so.

Spa Bavu is tops!. I was 1 of 5 that visited the spa this weekend to celebrate my milestone birthday and going to Spa Bavu was icing on the cake! All 5 of us agreed hands down that this was the best experience we had ever had at a spa (and we are all avid spa junkie)! Kudos to the staff of Spa Bavu for the best experience:

The word customer service is an understatement for the treatment you receive from Spa Bavu. Ms. Cynthia should be commended for her patience since she allowed me to contact her a million times with changes, corrections and last minute additions

Ms Diane for her skills and expertise in skin care for people of color and special attention she gives to all her clients.

Ms Adele for working out everyone tense and sore muscle in my body- including my toes! Umph! You go sista! The deep tissue massage is a keeper!

And last but not least Ms. Kia for putting my hands and feet in check and keeping them soft and smooth (even if no one can see them)!

Ladies, if you truly want a remarkable spa experience and you?re in Philadelphia (or plan to visit) you MUST try Spa Bavu!

It?s worth every penny??

Philly's best kept secret. I have traveled world wide and I've been to MANY spas.

Spa Bavu was truly unique. The ambiance was very intimate and friendly. My services on this particular day was a massage and facial from Diana. Her massage technique , I've never had before. After the facial I received, my skin had a glow that lasted for days. It was truly amazing! This is truly Phillys best kept secret.

SUPURB. My bestfriend and I visited Phily and spoiled ourselves to a spa. The massages were OUTSTANDING, words can not describe the techniques. The atmosphere and sounds were hypnotizing- I was in a different world. Spa Bavu is definatley 1st priority when visiting Phily!

LOVE IT!. The ONLY spa in the city that is warm and without an inch of pretentiousness. Diana and her crew deliver kickass facials, scrubs, massages that have you in La-La-land in no time. They take the time to explain how to use their products and give you cute little travel freebies too! Highly recommended.
